Wiggle your mouse!
I have had a comp which refused to come out of sleep mode. In the end I had to set it not to go to sleep. To do this goto Control Panel > Power Options/Schemes.
There you will see a choice of times 'before going to sleep', including 'never'. Try to avoid this if possible as it adds a lot to wear of hard drive

When I try to bring my LCD monitor out of sleep it just comes up a dim lighted screen and cannot see desk top. I put my PC in sleep mode then wake it back up and monitor is perfectly fine? how can I

I suspect the monitor. For the sake of troubleshooting: Try another monitor for a few days. If you have the same issue, we will know it is the video card.

I assume you mean it's in sleep mode and you can't get it out? Or you wish to put it into sleep mode, or perhaps you want to take a nap yourself? One word problems are very hard to solve.

If it's in sleep mode, take out the battery, unplug the AC, hold down the power button for 1 minute. Put the battery back in, attach the AC adapter, and press the power button. That should fix it. Putting it into sleep mode is generally done by pressing the power button for a second. And napping is generally done by putting your head down on your desk and closing your eyes.

Because the hard disk went in sleep mode, too. You have to go control panel, display, power management and choose not turn of for hard disk both in battery and AC power.

Mouse V450 shipped with new Dell Desk top does not work reliably

It should be good up to 30 feet, whatever the setup. You might try plugging the send/receiver into a front port to see if that helps.

I usually open Device Manager, open each USB device and set the power to stay on, (not "turn off this device to save power"). That way, sleep mode won't cause you to lose contact with the mouse. Or just disable sleep mode.

When the computer is turned on the monitor goes to sleep mode

Go to safe mode, select boot in vga mode.

If this allows you to start,

Click start,Run type desk.cpl
Screen Saver tab | click on Energy
Under desk or office settings frame, set all values to "never".
Then click
Advanced Options, you'll see a frame asking you what to do.
Just select the options to turn off sleep mode.
check that out.

If you can't start this way,you need to try another monitor to change the setting above.

Please rate this a fixya
