Question about Epson RX620 All-In-One InkJet Photo Printer

Posted question and was asked to pay $69.99 for solution??

I posted a question yesterday about an error message on my Epson RX595. I instantly received an email from this site for me to call a number. I did and the agent needed remote access to my computer to fix the problem. He did a bunch of stuff and then asked for $69.99 to complete the repair. Is this normal or was I a victim of fraud? I thought this was for others to give solutions to problems...

    did he fix the issue? did he tell you he would charge you before doing any work?

    So frustrated! My printer carraige seems to be getting stuck on right side which is probably why I'm getting a paper jam error. Now my scanner won't work. Any suggestions?

    I uninstalled everything on my computer and re-installed it. For some reason my scanner unit is no longer moving and the printer carriage wants to stay on far right side.

    He said he could fix the problem with remote access. I had to go to www.fastsupport.com and give him the ID number. He did a bunch of stuff, then said he found the problem. I had issues in my registry and for $69.99 he could fix the problem. I said "Nope, good bye" and disconnected the chat. I hope he doesn't still have access! I fixed the problem myself just minutes ago...A lever on the front of the printer that adjusts for CD/DVD printing was stuck. I pushed it really hard and the error messages left and it works like a charm again.

    good for you. be sure to reboot your computer and un-install the software that he used to remote into your pc. I don't think he'll be able to remote in again with out your permission though. Always be sure and ask if there will be a charge when someone offers to fix your pc. also, never allow anyone to remote into your pc without knowing if they are not legit. I'm glad you got your printer fixed too.

    Thank you. I think I un-installed and rebooted It's hidden deep. I think the admin on this site should be aware of this so others aren't taken like I was. The ONLY reason I gave remote access was because I trust this site- I've perused here frequently- and was sure it would be okay. At then end, when he asked for money I knew something wasn't right!

You need to reset your printer. Goolgle search for "indoreset for rx595" and download it. That is the program you need to use to reset the waste ink pad counter back to zero.

Epson RX595 says "Error-paper jam" but no paper in printer!!!


I got my printer to work (finally! #$^%$%) by moving the ink carriage back and forth a bit gently and then I sprayed a small amount of WD40 on a lint free small cloth and wiped the silver bar inside with it. I slid the carriage slowly from one side to the left and it seemed to stick less. I thought my printer was broken so I figured it couldn't do any more harm and lo and behold it worked! My printer went back to the normal screen after turning it back on and I am finishing the print job that I never thought would happen. YAY!

Windows 7 is not recognizing me Epson RX595


The following steps may help:

  1. Remove all the drivers and software installed for this printer.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Click here to go to the driver download page. Download the driver for Win 7 and install.
  4. Connect the printer to your PC, the installation will continue.
  5. After installation, you should be able to use your printer.

Epson rx595 cannot recognize ink cartridge


Just had this happen to me. Turned it off, turned it back on... nothing. In/out with the cartridge several times and when I blew on the contacts of the printer (where the little microchio on the cartridge touches) it finally worked. Did the blowing on the contacts help? Maybe, but more likely is that the it was just repeatedly trying to d oit before the machine figured it out.

Epson rx595 changed to cartriges everthing fine


Try cleaninig the ink before reinstalling it again,if problem pesist,clean the surface contact on the printer and put back the ink,if pops up again,replace the ink.

Epson 595 COMMUNICATION ERROR message


HI

Check the USB cable if connected properly from the backl of printer and from back of computer. check under device manager under universal serial bus controller connection problem.
