Computer turns ON but there is no display?

Drain it! You might be surprised that one day as you turn your computer on, it shows no display. It can be caused by electrical charges on the motherboard, I do not specifically know how it affects the display but in case this happens to you try to do a Power Drain. It's easy, first, take the battery out from the laptop and unplug the AC Adapter if it is connected(for desktops, unplug power cord from the CPU/tower) then press and hold the power button down for at least 30 seconds. plug power supply back into your system and turn it back on. There goes your display once again.

Delll optiplex 755 desktop - motherboard is dr845 13740. Problem with display. When boot up, no graphics on monitor - same as if monitor not connected. monitor checked ok but pc shows no visuals?

I don't know if you have done anything lately,ie; updates to board, cahnge of cables, etc. but first, try shutting down system, unplug your cable for video, unplug tour tower, plug tower back in and restart. If this doesn't work. You may want to try a system restore back to when you had a picture. Try this and let me know if this worked by adding comment or reply at the end of solution.

My monitor has kicked into sleep mode and won't "wake up".

Unplug all the Cables from Compaq Presario 5103 CL and leave the Keyboard, mouse and monitor cable pluged in.

Now make sure the power cable of the monitor should be pluged in and the power cable of the tower should be pluged in.

Now to check if the montor is fine just unplug the video cable only which will show no input signal on the screen. If it shows this signal the monitor is fine. Plug back in the video cable.

If the monitor is going to sleep mode it might be possible that the old computer ( Compaq Presario 5103 CL ) is in stand by mode. hit any key on the keyboard and it should come back .

If it is not in the stand by mode then do one thing. Check the same monitor with the new computer. If it is working. Perfect ..!

Do one thing now ..!

Unplug all the cables from your old system and then press the power button for 30 sec and let it go. Now plug the keyboard, mouse and the monitor try again.
If it works Perfect. If not ..!

Then you need to open the tower and check on the processor FAN is it running..? If its not running you will not get the display as the fan is responsible for the display on the screen. Otherwise...!

Check the Tower possibly the Tower is not getting the power.

Try these steps and let me know If it works

Xps 600 tower does not power up the monitor

The system will turn off if you hold down the power button for 10 secs. Can you check if other monitors work fine with this system?? (my best guess is - NO) since this monitor works well with other systems, the monitor being a failure is ruled out. So this boils down to a system failure & not a failed monitor. Worst case scenario this one must be a Motherboard & Power supply issue.

Speakers killed my moniter

Well as you have already tried disconnecting the peripherals from your computer, and tried restarting the computer too which did not help you, it sounds to be an hardware issue with the monitor. However if incase you have not tried this, you can disconnect the monitor completely from the tower, power on the monitor, if it powers on and you get a message as no signal, your monitor is working good. If not replace the monitor. If the message appears on the monitor screen, disconnect everything from the tower, push and hold the power button on the tower for a minute. Connect just the monitor and check for any display. If you do get display, thats good, connect one device at a time and check to see if the display appears.

If theres no display with just the monitor connected, the issue would be with the graphics card. You may need to replace it or get the system repaired.

NO POWER AT ALL!

Does the power supply have its own power switch?

It is located next to where the power wire plugs into the back of the PC.
