Sounds like your water supply was never restored, check the water supply to the unit and make sure its turned on and try again.

There is a tray that is in the bottom, remove the cover thats located just under the doors in front. You will see it most of time black in color and it will be easy to pull out be careful for it will be full. Its from condensation most the time in the summer this happens really no problem. if thats not it check the ice maker water supply line that could be it also.

I was able to order the ice tray myself and install it in the fridge - it's not hard. I ordered from one of the parts sellers linked to at the LG website, not those listed in other posts here.
Here's how to replace the tray:
You need to remove the tray dumping mechanism to do this.

have you ever changed the water filter that's in the front bottom sticking through the kickplate?part number 4396508 and it's around 45 to 50 dollars
