Question about HP Pavilion tx2500z Notebook
I just bought a bunch of movies from Blockbuster Saturday (hooray for big sales) and I tried playing one of them about ten minutes ago on my computer. Nothing happened, QuickPlay didn't pop up, and when I went to "My Computer" to see if it showed anything in the disc drive it didn't have anything. I tried with another movie, bought at the same time and the same thing happened. The first disc has a few visible scratches, but nothing worse than regular wear and tear, and the other one had fingerprints but no scratches. Could it be the movies or is there something wrong with my comp?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hello tayumira...I don't know what version of quickplay you are useing but if it's not launching at all, it could be driver related.
Do you have the latest drivers updated and installed? This has a been a problem for many with the dv6000 and 9000 series. In fact, so many complained HP extended the warranty The quickplay buttons are also ultra senisitive and known to stick and hang up.
You can go to HP's website... http://www.hp.com/#Product and update your system, then after that go to ..... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c00297718 and follow those steps. It has all the software very various quickplay versions.
Good luck,,,i hope this helps
