I noticed that when you change the input source for TV-AV split second display returns to normal color (black) it seems that when receiving the signal from the motherboard receives green, something else besides ribbon LVDS board the base has several SMD capacitors and a couple of them are hotter than others (470 mf/16v 100 mf/16v) is normal to be so?

More green color to Display is somewhat bad indication. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts. Screen shots to defective LCD displays are given, You can compare it to that or your TVs' and can make sure about the fault. It is not possible to include all those pictures here. Check this link too.

Screen role red and green wavie lines.

Hello dctc1,

Looks like there is a problem with the convergence IC's. You will have to replace both of them. I would also look for busted capacitors around the IC's.

However, if you are not familiar with TV repairs, I would advise against opening up the set. Best get a service man to come and diagnose/repair the set.

Hope that helps!

17" flatron crt monitor only green led blinking and tick tick sound .No display

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Red/green/blue static toward top of screen

Very likely either the YSUS board is going bad and/or the power supply voltages are getting noisy because of failing capacitors.

LG flatron w2230s-pf monitor only displays for 3 seconds, then the screen goes black. power is still on, and you can very faintly see the image. if you turn it off and on again, it will display correctly...

The problem is in the inverter board, the most common problem is bad capacitors, inverter transformers, or back light issues. The power supply and inverter share the same board, attempts can be made to repair or replace the board, if a professional gets involved you are further ahead in buying new.

My LG HD tv screen suddenly went green. sound is

Hi,
I disagree with info provided, if screen of your LG lcd tv becomes green that means inverter board is working and lcd tv does not have convergence ICs.
Please unplug tv from ac wall socket for minute to get it reset, replug back in and turn it On and check its picture.
If still showing green screen then change input source with remote, if tv shows same green screen on all inputs that means its either lcd panel problem or digital signal processor got bad loacted on main board. Local tv repairman is needed to confirm and fix it.
Thanks.

Zenith 50pc3db troubleshoot green blinking power light no picture

That flashing light is either a failure of the power supply and or one of the drive boards (Y-Sustain, Y-Drives, Z-Sustain) to display the image.
The main board is seeing a problem and that is why the green light is flashing. You may have heard of "POP" sound before your TV started this issue.
Looking through the back cover of your TV and seeing the power supply, if the large capacitors’ tops are swollen or split, then you will know that is a source of your problem(s).
Beyond just looking at the power supply, to correctly trouble shoot your issue would require some TV repair tools and a little knowledge of electronics.
Your Zenith/LG TV was made around 2007.
Let me know if I can help you out any more.
Good Luck.

Green Power LED is lit- But no image on the screen

Hi, I have just repaired one of these with the same problem. Turned out to be a 680uf 25v capacitor that had failed. Capacitor was visibly domed. Easy repair with new capacitor. Hope this helps.
