Hi,

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hello, I am repairing a Toshiba Equium A300D 16C for a customer. The laptop had been dropped so I am replacing the inverter. To check the health of the laptop I plugged the laptop into an external monitor...

Correct, you will not be able to get around this password issue without replacing the board. Do you mean boot password? The bios admin password only comes up when you tell it to go into the bios. If it is a boot password and she does not know what it is, there is a chance she doesn't really own the laptop. I have had this happen to me before. Be real careful on this. I suggest pulling the drive and looking for documents with the name of the owner on them to confirm they are the same.

Toshiba Equium A300D - 13X laptop black screen.

Hi. try accessing the Start-up BIOS features by pressing F2 or Delete key when you see the Toshiba logo. Check for the Tab that will give you the control for the brightness/contrast of the screen. If that doesn't do anything then most probably the backlight (LED or CFL) must have been busted. and needs replacement.

Toshiba Equium A300D-13x where buy new motherboard

Contact Topaz Support www.topazsupport.co.uk, they are the accredited Toshiba parts dealer in the UK, or buy online from http://www.jetmedia.co.uk/popprods.htm?Product=A000036980 It costs about £50.00. The part number is A000036980. It's the same motherboard as the Toshiba Satellite P305 series.

A300d-213 no driver

hi
I think Toshiba are having problems with their drivers website as no drivers showing.

Go to the global site and choose your country, find their phone or email details and let them know. http://www.toshiba.co.jp/worldwide/

TOSHIBA SATELLITE LAPTOP a300d-14O TURNS ITSELF ON AGAIN AFTER SHUT DOWN WHEN LID IS CLOSED

Your power management in Windows is corrupted. I would do a system restore to an earlier date.
1.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2.
On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
3.
On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, as shown in Figure 2, and then click Next.

4.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
5.
Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
6.
The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
