Can you view the pictures on he screen after you have taken a picture. If so, perhaps the brightness of the display is too low to see anything. Or perhaps the battery is almost empty and the camera is trying to save power.
Remove the battery and charge it on an external charger.

SOURCE: can not see subject to take picture on lcd screen it is black

ive opened the canon powershot 1s IS. id had the problem that the LCD stated black from the beginning.

i opened the lens(is that an english word for all the glasses???) and i saw what the problem was.

to take a picture, a very small (valve??) opens and closes very fast. this valve? was sticked together by something like glue. i removed the glue(smaller than one piece of sand) and the camera works fine.

i'm sorry for my bad english, but i'm dutch.

its easy and done whitin 2 hours.

succes!

SOURCE: can not see subject to take picture on lcd screen it is black

Check the manual to see if there's an option to switch the LCD screen off and only use viewfinder, and vice versa. Some cameras (specifically a Kodak I have in mind) let you use one or the other, but not both, especially if the image you see in the viewfinder is a digital image. So check that too. Look through the viewfinder to see if you see a "real" image, or a digital image, like what you would expect to see on the LCD screen.

Hope this helps. Let me know what you find (including if you find your LCD is damaged and not just off).

M530 date time

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

New Easy share m530..by accident trying set up switched to foriegn language. How do I get to english? all instructions are in other lang.

You'll just have to count the options carefully to get the right one. First press the MENU button, there will be two 'tabs' and you want the second one, you'll probably have to press "right" to get it. Now press "down" and count through these options:
  • Date and Time
  • LCD Brightness
  • Share Button settings
  • Red Eye reduction
  • Orientation Sensor
  • Camera Sounds
  • Video Out
  • Image Storage
  • Language
  • Reset Camera
  • Format
  • About
It might be easier to go to the bottom where About is, and go "up" by three...

If you get it right, when you press OK on the right one, you should see many languages including English IN ENGLISH. If you do, go ahead and select it and press OK. If you don't... back out and don't change anything!

My kodak easy share m530 does not transfer all the pictures to the computer. HOw can I transfer th left out pictures?

You can use a USB to Digital Camera cable or take out the memorycard in your kodak easy share m530 and use a external/internal card reader on your computer. If a screen doesn't pop up within 20seconds, go to My Computer > Look for a picture(drive) that hasn't been there before. Usually it would be like Drive I/J/K or something like that. Good luck and rate.

I need to know how to transfer pictures from my camera to my computer. I have a Kodak Easy Share M530.,and lost the book that came with it.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I do not know how to put a picture of myself on my facebook profile

Login to your Facebook account, and from the top navigation menu select "Profile", this should take you to your profile page. Below your status message you will notice a series of tabs, click on the tab that says "Photos". You should see a button to your right which says "Create a Photo Album" (Facebook Image Album ), click on it and you're on your way to upload and share your fabulous pictures with friends and family. Remember the pictures are controlled by the Privacy or Sharing settings that controls who can and cannot see your images. Uploading photos to your album is easy from the image upload screen that comes up.

I have a easy share M530. I do not have the manual with me. The camera keeps saying internal memory is full. Yet all I can view is about 10 pictures and the camera will not let me take any more. How do I...

There should be a delete function when viewing pictures. It may be a selection on a menu rather than a separate button.

The internal memory on most cameras is not very large. If you want to be able to take more pictures without clearing it, you will need to fit a memory card.
