Problems running Garfield: It's all about Maths

Hi, when trying to run the above program a white screen comes up followed by a Microsoft message apologizing for the inconvenience but the program was unable to launch - do we want to report the problem. We have tried loading the software on a desktop and laptop, both running Windows XP. Would this be due to software or driver conflict? Your help would be appreciated.

My msword 2003 showing file convertor error in all files my data is v importent pls help me

You may receive the following error:

Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc
This error is cause because of f the security update for Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003 on December 8, 2009.
You may experience mail merge issues write files are parsed but no message is shown.
To resolve this issue, an affected user can unregister the mswrd632 converter by editing the registry as follows:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Text Converters\Import\MSWord6.wpc
On the Edit menu, click Delete.
Click Yes.
Exit Registry Editor.

NOTE: For x64 systems above path is slightly changed:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad
This change will effectively unregister the converter and disable it for third-party applications and for Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office will use its own text converters to open these kinds of files.
You can also fix this issue with applying the registry fix, but that is a less secure way according to Microsoft, as this fix actually creates 'AllowConversion' key in the new 'Wordpad' subfolder. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad)
Download REG fix
There is another way to solve this issue by copying the MSWrd632.wpc file from another computer that doesn't have this issue. Make sure that this file comes from a trusted source on your network. This file can be found on the following path:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv

Go to Tools > Options > General (Tab) in Word 2003
And check "Confirm Conversion at Open"
When you next try to open the document it will prompt you with a list to convert from. Choose Word 2007 and your document will open.
Have in mind that you will have to unregister mswrd632 first, which is noted above, before you make this changes.
NOTE: If none of this works, please check that your file is not corrupted, or that you or someone else didn't add X at the end of .doc extension or vise versa. This WILL NOT work! You have to convert the document using Office 2007 or 2010.

In the process of installation of the disk #1 the following message appears: cannot open input source current file: DSSAGENT.EXE Thank you for your prompt help

As this could be spyware, try to run the and run the procexp.exe to see a more detailed task manager...

dssagent.exe is a virus, trojan, spyware, adware which you can remove, or a file belonging to a Windows system or an application you can trust.

ssagent.exe is located in a subfolder of C:\Windows. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 546,304 bytes (72% of all occurrence), 590,336 bytes, 69,162 bytes, 510,976 bytes.
File dssagent.exe is not a Windows core file. Program starts when Windows starts (see Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run). The program has no visible window. It is located in the Windows folder, but it is not a Windows core file.

I am getting an error with maths blaster 9-12 when opening, Atlas Runtime error. It is only on two machines. I have tried re-installing (no luck) I have tried copying the directory from a working machine...

It's a year later and I had the same problem. I couldn't find a solution on the 'net, so I tried this and it worked: Right-click the Maths-Blaster shortcut (either on the desktop or in the Start menu), select Properties. Then click the Compatibility tab. Tick the "Run this program in compatibility mode", and select "Windows 95". Then tick all 3 options under "Display Settings".

This worked for me!

Configuration progress

If the "Configuration Progress box" is coming up every time you run and Office 2007 product, Click on "Start" -> "Control panel "->"Add or Remove Programs ". Check to see if you Still have a previous version of the Microsoft product installed. For example, "Microsoft Word " from "Microsoft Office 2007" takes 2 to 3 minutes to load because the "Configuration Progress box" comes up, checking the "Add or Remove Programs", showed "Microsoft Office 2003 " was still installed. After remove "Microsoft Office 2003", "Microsoft Word 2007" opened quickly without the configuration bar.

Running program difficulties

what was the actual error message that showed on your screen?
Either the problem is in the CD "Pashto level 1"that you've inserted or there is a missing file on the installation CD...try using a different copy first and if it doesn't fix it, try re-installing it...
