The edges of my Werner Shuna fiberglass paddles are rough. Can they be smoothed with epoxy, or filed?

Fibreglass can be smoothes off with sandpaper and / or wet and dry paper.

Smooth paddle edges are better as they are less likely to absorb water

What is a paddle hair brush?

A paddle hairbrush has a very wide and square section to the actual brush. It's good for long hair that needs taming into a more smooth and controlled style. It's very good for getting knots out of hair.

Bread keeps sticking to paddle. Tears a big chunk of bread out of bottom. Happens all the time. Any solutions, Thanks

You might need a new paddle if cleaning yours doesn't work. It needs its release coating. You could also try making sure the paddle moves smoothly on its shaft. If it hangs up when you pull the loaf out, it'll tear a big hole in the bottom of the loaf. Replacement paddles for most makes can be found on eBay. They run around $15, though, so I'd try cleaning and lubrication with vegetable oil first. Good luck.

I suggest 6 or even 4 oz. cloth, well soaked in resin and trimmed to fit. Sand it down smooth as soon as it is cured. An extra layer around the tip (last 2-3 inches only) might be useful if you really bang it around a lot, but every bit of weight you add will be weight you have to swing 500 to 1000 times per mile.

The kneeding paddle is no longer smooth.where can

If the paddle is sticking it could be the sealed bearing on the bottom of the pan is sticking. Either that or the belt is loose and not allowing the paddle to spin freely.

Bread Maker stir paddle does not spin

Either contact the manufacturer, or remold the interior of the paddle hole yourself. How? Using something like JB WELD. Place a peice of plastic wrap over the metal spindle, spreading it not only around the spindle but 2-3 inches outward like a skirt. Mix the epoxy (I recommend JB Weld) and place a small blob over the spindle. Pack the hole in the paddle with it. Now, place the paddle back over the spindle and let the epoxy set-up overnight.
Because of the plastic, the paddle should lift up off the spindle. Using a carving tool, a hand grinder, or sandpaper and elbow grease, remove the excess hardened epoxy. The interior of the spindle hole should be good-as-new.
OR, find A STORE that sells breadmakers, and find a paddle that will work on yours, and 'borrow it' (a your own risk, shoplifting is a crime).

Kayak drifting to the left

These boats are very short and have a smooth hull with very little keel. Because of this they will not track well and will have a tendency to turn.

You don't say how experienced a paddler you are.
Check also that you are holding your paddle equi distant from both blades. You may be unconsciously paddling harder with your right hand if you are right handed. Most of us are one-side dominant. You may also be sitting slightly diagonally in the boat without realising it. Experiment with shifting your position. Also consider a backrest if one is not already fitted.

You can fit a skeg to the stern whichwill improve straight line tracking. Abit like a fixed rudder. Use heavy duty elastic to hold it onto the boat stern.

Decals on OC6 Racing Paddles slowing speed during a race?

YES!! Remove them!! then lightly wet sand the face with 180 grit sandpaper . the paddles should be smooth, burr free, not slick, and have a radius on the edges....
more>> .. if the paddles are "slick" the water will "slide off" the water they are trying to grip.. and the paddles will not "get traction or "grip" in the water and make it harder to provide "power to the water".. the radiused edges will prevent the paddles from "darting around uncontrollably" when entering the water and under a load. Water and air act the same when under a load..(think.a paddle, a jets leading wing edge, a boat motor lower unit leading edge, runners in a race engine intake manifold) ..A radius will flow water, and air, around it in a controlled manner and make the paddle easier to use and more efficient.,,a "knife edge" will cause turbulence at the edges..

Paddle beater won't push up and turn to release

When you are able to remove the paddle, feel the opposite side of the spindle. It should be smooth. The pin should not stick out the back at all. Carefully, tap it in until it is even with the spindle. That will fix you up, unless the pin itself is also damaged. If so, get a small file and remove any burrs from where the paddle mounts.

Paddle fan shakes at high speed. How do i balance?

Generally speaking, all paddle fans shake to some extent but if yours seems excessive, you mave have a bent paddle bracket. Try unbolting ( usually 3 screws per paddle) the blade from the bracket while leaving the bracket attached to the motor.. Then run it up at high speed... If it still rattles a lot, you've got an out of tolerance bracket, if it runs pretty smooth, you can put the paddles back on and try it again. ( sometimes reseating the paddles and making sure the hardware is secure will solve your problem) If it turns out that your paddles are the cause of the problem, you can purchase replacement paddles from Home Depot or other home improvement stores.. Hope that helps...

I want to smell home baked bread!

Before loading the pan with ingredients, try turning the paddle by hand.  If it's very stiff, perhaps soak in water for a while and see if that softens the hardened dough or flour around the base of the paddle.  That could be preventing smooth turning.
