SOURCE: Smoking Fan Assisted Oven

Is the smell a food smell or other smell. If it is food, then some food has gotten behind the blower motor. Clean behind it good. Even some small particles have gotten in there somehow. You can also feel thye sufaces of the oven and tell if there is some buildup.

SOURCE: Heat element is not coming on!

It is entirely possible that while cleaning the oven you may have inadvertantly bumped the element enough to cause it's connection to come loose enough not to work. With the power unplugged, wiggle the element where the connection is made inside the oven. If this does not work it is possible the element has 'gone bad'. Sometimes this happens from various causes and replacements are available from the manufacturer

Why is this model smoking so much when you use the oven why is so hard to clean the upper part the element is in the way and it is almost impossible to clean it

smoking ovens is from burnt on grease where people do not use oven bags to prevent grease spatter
get advice on how to remove the element and replace with a new one ( grease free) use a good quality spray on oven cleaner and let stand for the directed time then clean out properly refit the new element
it will be best if you remove the door first as it makes it easier to get in the oven

My oven wont work after cleaning with oven pride cleaner

Sounds to me like a short. Thats electrical. Now the troubleshooting. I would assume liquid got somewhere and is causing a ground loop somewhere. Thankfully your elecreical system is working as designed. Need to find that short. Possibly one of your element(s) or element connection I think is the culprit. I dont know how handy you are with electrical meters, but i would start at the elements. BE CAREFUL!!! Your messing with 220v. Nasty stuff. Me personally, I would disconnect one element at a time to find which one it is and handle it from there.

Can i use one of those spray products to clean my oven , glass door and heating element. I have the problem of the oven smoking if i raise the temp over 220 to cook things such as pork.

If you're going to clean the element use just plain soap and water with a good rinse.. Anything you put on the burner that doesn't evaporate perfectly will smoke and may be bad for you when you open the door to see how things are going.

The oven was cleaned with oven cleaner instead of using the Self-Cleaning operation. Is it safe and should we be worried about any problems.

It is safe to use. Make sure you let it run for about 20-30 minutes at 350 before putting any food in it, this will burn off the residue. Also before starting it make sure you didn't get any cleaner on the heating elements if so wait for it to evaporate before using.

We cleaned the fan oven and now it doesnt work

Hi.

I have come accross this problem many times. ----always when it has been cleaned. Somehow the cleaner coats the element and creates a hot spot. This will cause it to trip the electric as soon a s its switched on or after the element has been on for a while!!

You may be able to remove the back cover ( the one you see when you open the oven door) and gain access to the element. Try and clean it with a damp cloth. If this fails then the only solution is a new element. You havent mentioned make so i cant price one up for you.

My email address is aardvark.repairs@btinternet.com if you weant more information.

Self cleaning

Sometimes, according to what I've seen.  My theory is that the elements are probably covered in grime and this causes the damage.  As far as the control...I don't think that makes sense.
Never use cleaner on the elements..also causes damage.
A typical duty cycle for cleaning is 2- 2.5 hours.  Longer and you could burn them up, too.
