Question about ASUS Computers & Internet
I just bought a new microphone and Im trying to get it to work, the computer can tell the device is plugged in, It has a green tick next to it. but when I try and do a test I get nothing.
When you brought a new microphone in that box their will be a cd install it or download slim drivers or update it

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: No microphone works
I work for Dell and had the same problem.
Take the card out of the PCI slot and reinstall it. Then go to the creative support website and download all the updated drviers for the card. ALSO, and this may sound blindly obviously but the soundblaster has many connections on it make sure you are plugging it into the correct connection and that you have enabled the soundblaster in the systems settings ie- turn the on board sound off.
Hope this works,

First thing is first, there should be 3 audio jack inputs. Line in, Line out and Mic. Make sure you are plugged into the Mic input.
Next if you are running windows XP check to make sure the Microphone volume is not muted and turned up. Do this by going to control panel --> Sound and Audio Devices --> volume tab --> Advanced button. The Microphone volume should be there if not select file --> properties and make sure microphone is checked. It should then appear on the volume controls.
This should take care of it if not what program are you using the mic with?

Hi: I'm sure you checked the volume control of the Bose controller. Check where you plugged it in to the back of your computer. Mine has a veriable outpup and a fixed output. I hope this helps, Jeff
