Freezer when on defrost cycle does not drain but runs back into the base of the freezer and then refreezes. When next defrost water runs out over the floor.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

Unplug it and do the messy (water) manual defrost by directing a fan into the freezer compartment with the contents removed for just over 2 hours. The reason for the 2 hours is you have to also defrost the frozen drain funnel under the evaporator coils

Remove the fiberboard cover in the back and use a shop vac to empty the drip pan contents. Make sure to clean off the very end of the compartment drain tube as they tend to get nasty. Once you have this clean... revers air flow... i.e. us the vacuum to force air UP into the freezer compartment drain at the drip pan to float out any debris. DO NOT use compressed air as the compartment drain hose will separate and leak. Reinstall fiboerboard cover AFTER cleaning the condenser coils and fan.

After you have done the above the drain should work.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

When in defrost mode my air condioner and electric fan motor comes on and off in about 1 min. time. I can here a rely cut in and out. whats gong on !!!

It's normal for that to happen. It uses AC system to help remove condensation for defrost. You'll notice it doesn't happen on heat, only defrost. AC may be slightly low on freon causing it to cycle on & off more frequently.

You probably need to replace the resistor for the blower, which is not a big deal nor too expensive. Have the parts store show you where it is located and how to get to it.

Air condioner stopped getting cold

Run truck and turn on A/C check condensor and see if clutch is engaging, if it is that part is good, know how many times does it engage in 1 minute if more than 3 l'd say your refridgerant has escaped and an A/C service will be required.... along with other parts, hole worn seals....

Panasonic air con unit is not blowing cold air out.

This unit is use in motels etc. Check the ouside coil ( conderser) from the inside (discharge fan ) for dirt. Most of these units are floor level . This can cause a unit to short cycle ( cold air is at the floor) .

HAVE OUTSIDE AIR-CONDIONER.INSIDE HUM GOT REAL LOUD

sounds as if maybe you have a fan motor about to go out if the noise is that bad you should have a tech look at it as soon as possible due to the damage that it could cause overheating. I strongly suggest you have this looked at soon it isn't all that expensive and could save hundreds Hope this helps

GE air condioner doesn;t blow cold air

That is definitely a problem. Make sure that all the related filters and coils are clean. If there is ice forming then wait until the ice thaws after checking the filters and then retry.

If this doesn't work you will need a contractor to properly diagnose the system and check for any recalls or manufacturer warranties.

Air condioner

Try the "on" and "off" button at the unit control if it wont work then your unit control is defective and need a replacement, But if it works then your remote control itself need a replacement.4054171.jpg
