I have this amp, I run MTX 10's and am very satisfied. however, I have run into a problem, the amp all of a sudden ran hot and cut off, the amber light stays on. let me know if anyone has any recommendations, the dealer doesnt support the amp any longer.

Did some research and it sounds like a wicked lil amp with clean clean sound-its hard to say what subs to tell you to run because everyone has different taste- and without knowing what your setup is going to be theres no real way to actually say-the amp is made to run 3 channels -so focusing on the sub channel only i personally say get a pair of 10s or a good 12-your not throwing a ton of power so you dont have to go balls out on the subs- i personally like MTX subs and xtant is made by MTX so that wouldnt be far from home -good luck with that

What puts out more power when subs are ran in series or parrelall

Depends on your amp, ohm rating of your sub, box dimensions and ports or chamber size, size of vehical.
Run the subs in 2 ohm if the subs and the amp can handle the demand. Look for the Qtas of the sub. You'll loose 1/2 of the control to stop the sub if you run it in two ohm. You'll blow the works up if any part of this equation isn't up to the task of a 2 ohm load.
If your budget, space allows, run it in 4 ohms at the max RMS of the lessor (sub and or amp) and add more amps for more subs for more effect. A very well designed box/enclosure with an average component list can make a wonderful sound. It will usually beat a bigger budget sub/amp setup in a generic box. Theres lots of science that goes into a great sound. Dig into it and have fun

Wondering if non soldered terminals will cause subwoofers to cut in and out...amplifier turns on and stays lit green but subs cut in and out...have had amp and subs switched over from another vehicle in...

You're right; The clip-type or pinch-terminals could have just enough wiggle room to break connection when the box vibrates....causing the In & Out scenario.

You mentioned that the set (amp & subs) were mated in another vehicle, so there's little doubt that the subs are under-rated for the amp, right?
No chance that the sub-level adjustment was cranked up during the move, causing the aging subs to wash out...and you triple-checked the polarities, right?

Just wondering what is the OHM out put of the RCA HTS-2600 for the subs? My sub went down the drain & I was wondering about replacements.

I'm betting the output is 4 ohms. Your manual should tell you, or perhaps even the back panel label. You could check the label on your old sub and get the same... but I think all subs are the same. Most receivers will work okay at 4 or 8 ohms, with greater power at 4 ohms.

2 ohm sub and 4 ohm sub onto a 2 ohm amp

I presume you are talking about wiring one sub into each out put if so sure you can, but the 2 ohm sub will see more power & it will be louder. If you are wiring them in paralell to one output the load will be too low (1.33 ohms)& could blow your amp ! If you wire them in series to one output you will get a 6om load which will be fine also but with less volume.

2006 12" Kicker L7 4 ohm

first whats the range in terms of WATTS that your 12" sub can handle in 4 OHMS ? second , lets check the AMP , POWER ACOUSTIK 1800 WATTS , Now thats a lot of power to drive a single 12" sub speaker . your amp is 1800 watts , per channel is around 500 watts , if BRIDGE thats around 1600 watts rms for ONE channel , if your sub can handle that kind of wattage fine , but it will not blow the amp , what it does is shuts down , some kind of protection mode , it will come back on after a minute or so. I suggest to use one channel in stereo mode , or purchase another sub to use the other channel. i hope this helps AJ

Pioneer amp and sub problems

That's a 4-channel amp, not a 2-channel, which makes me wonder exactly how you have it hooked up to your sub. Is the LED light on the amp coming on? How many subs do you have hooked up to it, and how is it wired?
