I have a similar Issue. I'm running Windows Visa 64-bit. And for some reason my vista will not detect the webcam. On installation it say that it cannot detect webcam. When i plug it up nothing happens except the light comes on.Usually when I plug in a new hardware it's detected, but not the webcam. Can anyone help? I'm also using Micro Basic Model IC50C

Ok, you need to get the CORRECT drivers. Unistall all the drivers you have installed. Next, go to www.camera-drivers.com/drivers/230/230822.htm

Download the right drivers, you have to go thru a series of ads, just click no thanks on them. After you download, make sure your camera is NOT plugged in. Now install the new driver. Plug the camera in, Windows Hardware Manager should start up. Tell it to search for the drivers in C:\windows\system or system32, can't remember which one. It will say a different camera name, don't worry it's the driver you want. Install and your set.

I bought a Toshiba Window 7 with no Webcam.what can I do to have a webcam installed.

Hi there, You can buy an external, USB webcam. Depending on how much you want to spend, you can get an HD one or just a basic one. Any computer store will sell them. Most webcams will clip on to your monitor and plug into a USB port on your laptop, and will work the exact same as one built in to your computer. Here is my recommendation: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826105420 Cheers, Alex

I need a cd-rom

Go to the website and select support/downloads. Fill in the proper categories and download your driver. It's that simple. Remember your model number IC50C. You can also put a copy of the driver on disk so you can have a disk of your own. Hope this helps.

Web cam blurry

There are basically 2 adjustment can be made to focus your webcam, 1st is by the webcam software, try to search from the software any feature that can focus your webcam. The 2nd is the mechanical adjustment on the webcam itself, try to rotate the focus ring (webcam's eye) and see how the picture improvement.

USB does not register on computer

tech support for MI has been very good to me in the past on at least two occasions, one regarding a IC50 webcam in which the driver that was causing static in the image, and a MI wireless mouse that has worked fairly well since I got it about year ago. But it was a ***** for a blind man like myself to setup and configure.
Assuming the driver is still installed and you are sure that it is the correct driver for the cam, I would suggest removing mouse and keyboard just to see if that alliviated the webcam detection issue. I have seen circumstances in the past in which devices would basically take over the USB disallowing the use of other devices. This may not be happening but it is worth a shot in the dark. In the meantime, try to give MI another day or two for an answer. Here is the website just in case you are not getting the driver from their main website as it can be very difficult to find for most people..
