Usually when a burner goes it is the switch that goes at the same time. There is a fusable link in the switch itself that blows, they are easy to replace. It is usually best to replace the recerptacle as well as the surge usually builds up a lot of carbon on the connectors and may cause some arcing and difficulty down the road.

Using oven and there was a pop and it went dead...oven, stovetop burner, clock panel, oven light!

Your element has burnt out. Reset the breaker, and get a new element. You can usually see where it has gone.

Some older stoves have glass fuses hidden behind the front panel.

When I turn on my oven it does not stay at that temperature, went and bought a new heating element and that wasn't it, the oven heats up and the burners turn pure red like a broiler and don't regulate

sounds like you're having a problem with your thermocouple that's what regulates the temperature of the oven you can either try to clean it off or replace it

Where are the fuses for the Sears Kenmore stove to elements located on Model C880 675080L0

Most likely no fuses. Either the element or the switch that turns it on is bad. If lighat comes on when you turn on burner the switch is probably ok and the burner went bad.

Right front burner only works on "small element". Large element will not come on. Do i need a new burner?

Hi Will Lawler - If the small element turns on but the large element does not, then more than likely, the range has a faulty burner or switch. If I was in your position, I would personally contact a professional for an accurate diagnosis and to assist with the repairs.

The right front burner will not get hot. It is only warm never hot. The burner doesn't turn bright red even when tuned up on high.

hello, try changing that front element(burner)if its easily removable to another side that is working normal. If the element is still dull not heating or glowing normal then replace the element, but if it does, then there is something wrong with the front right element switch or the receptacle.

Maytag Performa Electric dryer. Went to put in load and start-would not turn on. Checked breaker first. Then listed and I could hear the timer clickin on the front panel.Front door panel was full of lint....

In-laws machine did exactly the same thing. Check the thermal fuse.

Turn off the breaker.
Pop the top open with a flat screwdriver (there are two clips at the front)
There are two white wires on the right-side of the burner element, this is the thermal fuse (wires are kinda awkward to remove)

I jumpered these to wires and it started right up.

Infinite switch sparking!!!!

You have a short somewhere between the switch and the burner connector. Probably a wire's insulation has worn away or melted and is allowing the wire to contact the metal housing somewhere. You will see arc marks wherever the short is located. Look carefully where the wire passes through any holes or where sharp turns are encountered.

If the burner is scorched or pitted, go ahead and replace it. New burners can cost anywhere from $10 to $40. Otherwise, check the burner's electrical connections to make sure there is solid contact. Jiggle the burner in its socket. If it is loose, then remove the burner—most just pull out of the electrical socket, although some are mounted with a screw. (Always unplug the range before removing a burner.) Slightly spread the two terminals apart for a tighter connection. If it still doesn't work, then replace the faulty burner with a functioning burner of the same size. If that burner works, then replace the bad burner with a new one. If it doesn't, then inspect the electrical socket for damage. If it's charred, replace the socket. To do so, remove the screws that secure the socket to the range and then unscrew the range wires. Attach the wire connections of the new socket to the range wires and reassemble the burner.
