Question about Sanyo Televison & Video
I e no sound when using the HDMI cable to connect my TV to DVD player. it is not the dvd player, as it works in other rooms. The cable is direct to tv. I tried unplugging the TV, cabe cord, dvd player, and plugging only the DVD (blueray) into the TV (without cable), and still no sound. I can get audio when connected with the 3 coloured plug, but bot with the HGMI cord (treid another hgmi cord as well) ..

First off a little tip that manufacturers don't tell you is that you HAVE to TURN OFF the POWER to ANY UNITS that you are Connecting to via HDMI!!!!!!! If not you can short out the Inputs!!!!!!!! HDMI is usually Automatic, But sometimes you need to go into the Menus on all Devices to the HDMI section and write down their settings and compare them. Any definition that you are not sure of check the Manual or Google it! Match all the Settings (there won't be Much!) Hopefully the Inputs were not Damaged it only takes one time to short it out and then the Repairman makes a few bucks! Good Luck!

Something is wrong whith the HDMI jack it's self, or the electronic switching is not sensing a signal is present. In either case the board that has the HDMI jack you are using needs to be replaced. Most all these boards are double printed, Multi-layered or both which prevents replacing the jack it's self. I do have a question though, do you only have on HDMI jack on the unit or do you have another one available.

one quick fix you can try. plug in the HDMI cable, slect a digital audio sound output from the sound settings on your machine, then leave it connected and restart it. It just might work.

Check your set up again. Mine says the HDMI/DVI is HDMI 1 (and then connect the audio to the video 3 audio input).
I need a magnifier to read the label on the TV. You just need the only HDMI input that has (DVI) in front of the word Input.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: I cannot get any connections
Hi, Do not use 2 connections for 1 unit. Like when you connect RCA type cables and HDMI to -geather. I believe thats why you can not get HDMI to work. Most manuals say not to connect 2 cables on the same unit. read manual for more info.
