2000 chrysler cirrus comes up with 7oo code. Tranny won't shift from first gear.

Chrysler/Dodge,transmission computer's lock it into "Limp Mode", when it detects any transmisson problems. It will need scanned at a transmission repair garage Because the scanner diagnostic tool they use looks into transmission functions and errors, much deeper than a all purpose scanner tool. .Possibly an "Input" , "Output" speed sensor" or a bad solinoid pack. ( all 3 are external transmission parts.. These are very common to go bad and much cheaper than a complete, tranny rebuild.. But many rip off, tranny garages tell people that the transmission needs a complete rebuild.($1500. to $1800.) Watch out for this. It is possible that it needs rebuilt, but an honest tranny mechanic will let you know, either way.

Gear release lock on Cub Cadet GT1225

Does the unit function ( tranny ) normally otherwise? If not, then the tranny is locked. You have broken a gear tooth at a minimum in the tranny and it is locking the tranny gears.

Tranny drags in 2nd

More than likely your tranny is done. Time for a new one.

Best way to check is to take off the transmission oil cover on bottom of transmission. Check out the tranny oil and see if there if fine metal debris. Take a magnet and swish it around, if there is then time for a tranny.

I have a 91 ford explorer 4.0 4x4 automatic transmission and when o put it in park it does not work, i have to use the e-brake to park the explorer...what part do i need to fix in the transmission that...

down at the transmission is an adjustment you can make to hopefully get it bak to park on the left side of the transmission you will find a cable with a nut at the end loosen the nut and move the lever on tranny until it locks into park. if it doesn't work get help from a tranny shop too complicated. and a major job to replace park pin

2003 acura tl won't crank over.

Sounds like tranny froze up. Not what you wanted to hear, but the shop that put the tranny in should have given you a warranty. The lights came on, because the engine stalled. Please rate me if you find this helpful, thank you.

Dodge cummins auto transmission

hello dodge cummins owner i myself have a 98 dodge ram 1500 5.9L truck and i just recently had to rebuild my transmission. my truck would go fine in reverse but would not move in forward. when i took the trany apart i found out that the clutchs were completely gone. but in order to rebuild your trany i would sugest in getting a shop repair manual. i had purchased a shift kit for 400 dollars and it came with all the clutchs that i needed and that is much cheaper than buying a tranny or even haveing a shop work on it. the shop wanted 1500 dollars to rebuild it and to buy a new tranny it was over 2000 dollars.

Transmission leak!!

Had similar problem (Jetta 5 cylinder 2006) - leaks in the timing chain cover, large oil leak near the tranny (sounds like your problem), leak from "ALT belt side crank pulley seal and leak from oil pan. This car has only 23,000 kilometers about 14,000 miles on it!!! The dealer repaired this at no charge...

Signed
