I imagine you might have Intel powered graphics.

Here are their detailed instructions on how to rotate your display through various methods:

I think you will find your solution there, at a guess I think if you press CTRL+ALT+UP-ARROW it should bring your screen back to normal orientation.

Screen is sideways and cant control mouse

Display drivers such as Nvidia and Radeon have a feature to rotate the display as some displays can be rotated to display A4 documents more naturally. You have activated this feature. It's often on the taskbar on the right. Turn your head to the side when moving the mouse.

Hi,
You may try these steps. If you are facing a 90/180 degrees rotation issue with your displayed screen, this can be either due to a problem with your graphic card or a wrong manipulation of the hot keys of your keyboard. This problem can be easily fixed if you follow the steps below:
Solution 1
  • Step 1: With the Desktop screen displayed in front of you, use your mouse left-click to access the Graphic Properties? option
  • Step 2: Select the Rotation Tab
  • Step 3: Uncheck the box labeled Enable Rotation?
Solution 2
  • Step 1: With the Desktop screen displayed in front of you, use your mouses left-click to access the Properties? option
  • Step 2: Select the Parameters tab and click the “Advancedâ€? option
  • Step 3: From the displayed list, choose the name corresponding to your graphic card model
  • Step 4: Select the Rotateoption and change it to 0 degrees or to the “normalâ€? mode.
Solution 3
You can also make use of the hotkeys to change the rotation of your screen
Press CTRL+ALT Gr+Up/Down/Left/Right arrows
Solution 4
If none of the above solutions has solved your problem, this might be due to a bad configuration of your graphic card. I will strongly suggest you to contact a computer technician to fix this issue.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

Desktop is opening displayed sideways on computer when logging on

On the bottom right of the usual desktop display there you should find a Nvidia green logo, to set Nvidia settings.
Right click on the green Nvidia Settings logo and put your mouse over Screen Rotation.
Select the option to set screen rotation to 0 degrees.

The other way is to go to the control panel and double click on Nvidia Control Panel and select Rotate Display.
Ensure that it is set to 0 Degrees/ No rotation landscape

Hope this puts it the right way up!
All the best!

Hp laptop screen gone sideways & mouse not working

Right click on an empty spot on the desktop, scroll down to the graphics control panel, this may be Ati or Nvidia. Open the control panel amd look to the choices on the left. There will be a choice to either "Rotate Display" or something about "Screen Orientation", change the rotation to "0" degrees or whatever puts it upright.
