Question about Belkin Computers & Internet
Do you think you could possibly provide a little more information? The make and model number of the router would help a lot. I'm assuming it's a Belkin. Usually there is a button on the back or bottom that says RESET. You usually need something like a toothpick or a pin to push it in.
There are usually multiple things that pushing the button can do. It usually either resets the router to the factory settings or it restarts it. To set them to default, usually you have to hold the button down for a certain number of seconds. The lights will start blinking and it'll load the factory default settings. Doing this will reset your password but it will also reset all the settings that you have made. You'll more than likely have to reconfigure your wireless settings.
If you give me the make and model number of the router, I can check to see what the exact procedures are. Also, are you sure you actually set a password? The routers generally come with a preset user name and password. This is sometimes printed on the router (either back or bottom) or it's in the manual.
