"Quick" cycle takes 30 mins too long samsung J1045

Hi there Our samsung J1045 ( which has been a GREAT machine btw) is taking about 55 mins to complete the 30 min " quick" cycle ...we've cleaned out the pump and the machine sounds fine, it's been well maintained . Is there a 'reset' button anywhere that might help ?

Turned tap on full...no difference . We do have good water pressure .

I just thought the water might be filling slowly (clean filters on water inlet) that was adding time to the cycle. If it looks like it is filling as fast as usual, then you can unplug it for a couple minutes as this is the only reset for the board.

Yes, that does seem the most likely thing doesn\'t it ? I\'ll check the filters and make sure the hose isn\'t pinched up. We have quite \'limey\' water ..although we have filters on themain inlet, so it shouldn\'t be that.

Terri, you may need to contact Maytag on this one. Here is service bulletin that was released in June of 2002... "Date: June, 2002 No: TDL0008A-S, MAH5500BWW, MAH5500BWQ Issue Software Improvements: A software improvement was introduced to the machine control board. The improvements focused on. Reducing the number of wet clothes loads, spinning and draining complaints. Modifications to the time estimation displayed toward the end of spin cycle. Display will no longer fluctuate erratically, time remaining. ?dO? is no longer displayed when the door is open. Warranty See specific product for warranty information. Action This board modification was phased into production without a series change. Inventory at the National Parts Center was purged and replaced with the new control board." Hope this helps.

SOURCE: washer won't run through a complete cycle-stops at 29 minutes

There is a service manual behind the control panel it will show you how to test the door locks. If might have a bad lock solenoid.

SOURCE: 1 min remaining time takes 30 mins

The timer given a approximation of time left and because of balance the machine is fluffing the clothes to achieve a balance.

And for the guest it looks like you have junk in the pump. Need to access the panel below the door by removing the screws and getting a bucket, removing the large screw to the left of the pump and checking for debris in the filter, in the boot, behind the pump and look in the hole when the filter is out for damaged impeller or coins.

SOURCE: cycle takes forever

IE is Inlet Error. Turn off the water valves behind the washer and remove the hoses from the machine end. Look inside the spot the hoses were attached to, and use a plier to pull out the screen and clean it out. (probably only need to do the cold side) Re-instert screen(s), re-attach hoses, and turn valves back on. (Also, make sure hoses are not kinked behind machine.) Times displayed are estimates, and vary due to water fill rates, and load type and size. In your case, the water fill rate is the problem.

How long does the 55 degree normally run for

Depends on the water temp going into the machine. Dishwashers should be connected to cold water. Some people fit to hot water but the machine will go through the cycle too fast and you wont get a decent wash result. 55 isn't superhot for a machine (I assume this is 55 celcius?) Most machines will take about 45 mins to an hour.

Laundry load is unbalanced, manually loosen any tangled laundry.

If only one item of clothing needs washing, such as a bathrobe or jeans, the final spin result might be unsatisfactory and an UE error message will be shown in the display. Unbalance error is cleared by POWER switch OFF and back ON.

Sounds like you have a heater problem. Program 5 should take around an hour and 6 should be around 30 min, both with the heater on according to asko's manual. So I would get the heater element checked.

Programmes appear to be taking excessively long time to complete even with the quick wash button pressed - 2 hour 15 min for 30 Cotton wash cycle. Is this right or is there a fault? 30 Easy-care seems to be taking almost as long.
