Database refresh on Iriver H10

I have initiated the database refresh on my H10 and it seems to be stuck on the screen with the clock.  What do I do - do I turn it off by taking out the battery or do I reset the unit?

I have done this. my iriver is almost full i have the 20gb, when the you do the database refresh, it just takes a really long time. mine takes about 2 hours to finish, once you see the clock on database refresh you cant do anything but wait till its finished.

How do I reformat my H10.


Try to refresh database. It's probably already deleted. It happened to me too, there were some files that weren't invisible for computer but were visible for the device. If you refresh it, it will show the same computer does. (That option is made for such cases, your database is damaged/corrupted.)

Need to reboot iriver h10 cant delete songs


Ok , sorry it took me until now to answer , this is a very simple procedure and I promise it will fix your Iriver! All you have to do is go to main menu , scroll down to settings . Then go to additional settings and at the very bottom select " Database Refresh " . This will fully reboot your irvier H10 , and will flush anything harming your mp3 device .

Cannot delete or add music to iriver h10


I had this problem at first too. the only thing you have to do after it's done syncing disconnect it and turn it on. then afterward go through the options till you find database refresh and wait for it to refresh and all your new music should be in it.

I can't connect my iriver h10 to the computer.


okay heres the deal. ive had the same problem and i realized that u have to have windows media player running in order for windows to pick up the device. it will ask u to synce the device with ur comp and then ur good to go. kind of dumb that u have to have an app running in order to get it to work but thats microsoft for ya.

Iriver h10 system initializing screen


The only thing I could do was completely delete the data and download everything all over again. I did this using the iRiver Firmware. For now I know no other way to get past this problem.

Iriver H10 20GB - i can't access my music through Artists or Albums


Have you tired doing a "Database Refresh". It's located on the main screen under "Settings". Go to Database Refresh and check "Yes". How much music you have on your player will determine how long the refresh will take. If that doesn't work possibly run the Firmware Updater from iRivers' web site and only update the database, do not do a complete "Recovery" or all of your music will be erased as that choice reformats your hard drive. Only choose "Update Firmware"

System Initializing Problem


I had the same problem. Solution 2: Running EasyH10 from Sourceforge.net worked. To add to the solution you must run the mp3 player in Emergency mode (reset device, hold power button and button with circle on it, enter button I think). Let computer detect the H10, then run the software. At the bottom of the EasyH10 screen, select model/firmware and device location letter (i.e E:\). Click OK. The screen will display info about the device and run through the database of music. Once complete your device should work like new now.
