I found it, the pilot light is under the heater, over the burners, and on the right hand side. the shape looks like a stack of 5 nickels.

    Hope that helps somebody else.

In side the front on the lower right is a long 3/8" wide tube about 5 inches'll need a special lighter with an extended wick.

SOURCE: pool heater wont fire up

Its just after 1 am here as well, Ontario Canada. Yes, you have to remove the front lower panel by raising it then pulling out at the bottom. Then compare the valve you have with the 2 in the picture on pg 5. If it is easier, you can have your husband call me while doing this and I can talk him through it. My contact information is located on the main page of my company website

SOURCE: Can't light my Raypak Pool Heater.

Often you can see the pilot if you use a small mirror. With the button on the gas valve pushed down you should get pilot. Once the pilot is lit it warms the TC(thermocouple) creating the static charge to open the gas valve on it's own. The TC is set in the pilot assembly. It will be a small tube like piece with the wires coming from it. Some times you can pull and replace it but I will usually get the whole pilot assembly and just replace that. It will probally be rusted and can be cloging the tiny orface on the pilot itself.
If you have a milivolt meter you can check the TC by pulling the wires that come from it at the gas valve and with the button on the gas valve pushed in and a good flame you should get 500-700 MV from the TC. This is 1/2 a volt+ so you will need a MV meter. But this will tell if your TC is bad or if your valve is bad.
Good luck.

Could be several things. The heater should still be under warrantee. Have RayPak send a tech over, any DIY will void the warrantee.

Versa 130,000 will not ignite spark works but will not ignite

You might have debris in the pilot orifice which is just below the pilot spark/light. Also might be a gas valve issue. Is the gas valve set to on? I would clean the pilot orifice first. Good luck.

I have a natural gas poolheater- Raypak Versa 305. The pilot lights but when I release the button after waiting1 min. the flame goes out. This happens over and over so what should be done?

You, or someone should check the flame sensor. If , as it looks, you have a standing pilot (one that stays on), the flame sensor has to be aware of the pilot or all will go out. Good luck...Lee

I have a versa gas heater for my above ground swimming pool. This year the pilot will not light. It gets hot but will not ignite. Any ideas what could be wrong?

I have often found spiders or other **** nesting in the pilot tubes of these boilers which blocks the flow of gas. You will either need to have it professionally serviced or you can attempt to do it yourself, which I do not recommend.
