Question about Sanyo PLV 60HT Multimedia Projector
Is this something that I can fix?
The yellow tint is probably coming from the lens. It could be that the glass is tempered or possibly just needs to be cleaned.

SOURCE: Projection has yellow tint
From your description, it sounds like a problem with the blue color. Green LCD=purple onscreen, Red=cyan(baby blue) onscreen, Blue LCD=yellow onscreen. It could be a lot of dust on the blue lcd panel, or worse, might be a burned polarizer filter behind the lcd panel due to excessive heat. If you can focus on the yellow and its tons of yellow specs, its dust. A burned filter however, must be replaced. A technician trained in projectors will have to do it. The filter material is glued to a thin glass panel and is replaced as a single filter. It's a very involved repair.

blue blotches on screen due to dust get optics cleaned should then work ok...yellow spot more likely to be lcd or lens burn a much more serious and expensive problem
