Question about Olympus FE-210 Digital Camera
Can view pictures but can not take any becuase the lens gets stuck once 1/2 or 2/3 of the way out. It comes out to that point and then gears skip for a bit and it stops trying. This happened on a trip to the beach so my gues is that sand or somthing is in the lens sides or somthing.
I can take the camera apart but getting the lens piece out became a matter of dismantleing the entire camera which I would prefer not to do. I had the camer probably at least 1/2 way apart; bot rear and front casing off along with LCD display detached. But the lens seemed to be barried under the "motherboard" of the camera and it seemed difficult to go farther with wires and such wrapping from the board to the camera base structure.
Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $47.85 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.
