Re: keyboard error

Sounds like the F key is stuck. If you can get the keytop off, you may be able to fix the problem. If not, you may need a replacement keyboard.
Hope this helps!

This afternoon my laptop was working fine, then the keyboard started messing up, when I pressed any letter it came up with 4 other letters. Then i pressed '9' once and it continuously typed 9 until I

First thing I would ask is this. Was anything spilled on the key board? I had a situation similar to this and I found that my son spilled a Sprite and wiped it up but didn't tell me about it. One way to check this is to hook an aftermarket keyboard that runs off your USB2 port and see if the keys work correctly that way. If they do, I would suspect that something was spilled into your laptop keyboard.

Samsung 700Z5A keyboard input errors

A computer keyboard is a vital component of the computer system. Without a properly working keyboard, your computer is essentially rendered ineffective. If the keyboard is frozen or not responsive, it is experiencing an error known as a "lock out" error. There are various reasons for this error, so you must undergo a process of elimination to figure out the root cause.

Make sure that your keyboard is properly connected to the computer system. Ensure the keyboard's plug is plugged into a USB port. A keyboard error will occur if the keyboard is not attached to the computer or if it is loosely plugged into a USB port. If this is the case, the keyboard will not be recognized and rendered useless. Press the "F8" button repeatedly as the computer boots up. This will take you to a menu in which "Reboot" is one of the options. Select the "Reboot" option. Rebooting your computer should clear up errors in the computer system that might cause your keyboard to lock out. Click the desktop's "Start" button. Right-click the "My Computer" icon and click "Properties." Click the "Hardware" tab and click the "Device Manager" button. Scroll through the "Device Manager" list and right-click on "Keyboards." Click "Properties," then click the "Driver" button. If the keyboard is classified "Disabled," click the "Enable" button to activate it. If this does not help, click "Roll Back Driver" to revert your keyboard driver to its last working state. Rolling back the driver should rectify keyboard errors. Restart your computer system to finalize the process. Hope this helps.

Toshiba laptops have what we call the recovery partition. To access that;
  1. Turn the laptop off.
  2. Press and hold letter C on the keyboard.
  3. While holding the letter C, press the power button.
  4. Keep holding the letter C button until you see "Windows is loading files".
If ever the recovery partition is not accessible, you need to contact Toshiba and ask for a recovery disc.

Multiple letter input in one letter

hi neriz, i believe what you meant by "multiple letter input in one letter" is that when you press a key, say the letter A, it comes up with AAAAAA on the screen, is that right? if its so, its called "sticky keys". the keys on your keyboard are stuck either with dirt, dust, food crumbs, or if water has been spilled. you can try vacuuming the keyboard or shaking it face down the table to get rid of dirt inside or under those keys. try pressing other keys aswell, if all of them acts the same way, you may want to change the keyboard settings on control panel. but if its just a couple of keys then yes, it is dirty. if this is not your case, let us know ok?

I press certain letter keys and numbers appear, the number keys are fine just the letters, what is the fix for this error?

You have your numbers lock on, press the NumLk key and that should correct it. You will notice on you keyboard that there are small numbers on it below some of the letters, this is so you can use the keyboard has a 10 key number pad/ calculator etc. If pressing the NumLk key does not work, the key may be stuck or you have a bad keyboard

My other laptop keeps repeating the letter I press like when I go to google search and type 'h' it will go hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh forever and not let me type anything or delete.

Hi, this is a common problem with sticking keys, caused by a spillage i.e a drink onto the keyboard. The keyboard will need cleaning or replacing.
