That's not really that unusual of a temp. 195-210 is a normal range. If you'd like, you may try installing a 195 degree t'stat. As well, make sure your cooling system, (radiator, heater hoses, and water passages in the block) are in good order. If this engine previously used the "orange" GM coolant, they were bad to clog up hoses and passages. I had to take all my hoses off, as well as water pump and thermostat and run pressure hose through all the orifices to get the gunk out.

My 02 chevy cavalier overheats without a sign of leaking coolant

Not sure I am with you on this. The cooling system is designed to run between 190 and 210 as a normal range. Above 210 and the radiator fan should start up. Anything over 230 is considered Hot.
Is the radiator fan coming on around 220 degrees ?

Thermostadt was stuck open replaced thermostadt now it runs just a little hot

Yes, try a 180 thermostat, with a 195 the fans will not turn on until about 210.

1995 Chevy Tahoe 5.7L V8: thermostat temperature/running temp?

Depends on what thermostat you put in. Stock is a 190*. Which will usally run about 200-210. That's where most all small blocks are happy.

What should be the heat temporture on a 5.7 motor ?

The temperature should be running in between 200 and 210 degrees and the easiest thing and cheapest would be to change the thermostat try that out and let me know also if you get a chance if you can rate me if your satisfied.

Running Warm

It sound like either the cooling fan clutch is not operating properly or the radiator needs to be pulled and roded out by a radiator shop, 1 other thing, are you sure the temp guage is accurate? you can test this by using a scan tool on the engine control computer, tap into the ECT sensor for the injection.

Normal temps for your car should be around 205-210 degrees.

The thermostat should be located on the bottom radiato hose, where it meets the engine. trace the hose from the bottom of the rad. to where it connects to the motor and you should find the thermostat there. usually on the back side of the engine around the intake manifold
