It is not the impeller that is at fault here but the motore itself. If you feel up to the job, buy a replacement motor with an installation diagram and install it. Make SURE the power is cut off at the circuit panel.

My front end load dryer makes a humming noise when started then goes to pause

Have you checked the drying drum to see if it spins freely? Open the door and verify it spins freely. if it does then the motor may just be in a bad spot. usually after spinning the drum a turn or two it will get it running. it humms and clicks because of the motor not turning and trips an thermal overload switch and you have to wait for it to reset. Now if the drum dosent turn then you have a problem with drum rollers or something stuck in the way of the drum.

I have a affinity dryer that just humms when I turn it on. I have power 220 at recpt. no code reading?

Sounds like the motor could be locked up, Is the dryer turning if not belt broke , Check belt, take the front access plate where the motor is located and turn it on check to see if the shaft of the motor is turning at normal speed and again check the belt, with power off and belt is not broken by hand turn the drum to make sure nothing is blocking it from spinning freely. if that is free and clear than my bet is on the motor itself as it sounds like it is in locked rotor.
Cause's of locked rotor
Motor seen its better days
if equipped the start/run capacitor could be out
Hope this helps.

Model SP15921TLNP 1HP pool pump. Only had 1 year. We have had local quick on off power outages in this area. Now Pump does nothing. Using tester have power into the motor. I think may be capacitor but I...

Capacitor should be inside cylindrical cover on motor's side; simplest test is to replace it. If motor humms but won't turn maybe bad capacitor, stuck bearing (turn by hand) or bad/dirty centrifugal switch contact. If no humm at all, may have burnt internal neutral wire.

I have a A O Smith SN 1152 pool pump. The motor just hums when the switch is turned on. The pump is eight years old and I have had no problems until now.

Remove the 4 fasteners that hold the pump head onto the motor and try to turn the motor shaft by hand. If it turns freely, apply power and see what happens. If it turns Ok, then your problem is the pump head not the motor. If the motor does not turn by hand then it needs to be replaced. If it turns by hand but not when power is applied, you may get away with replacing the bearing in it.

My motor just humms and will not turn. Pump turns freely and motor shaft? Humms for a will then will kick out, but does not throw the breaker. thanks, David

I'd replace the start capacitor on this pump, I believe. Be careful with this kind of electrical device: they store power and will kick you and hard if not wairy,

Humming but will not spin

lean machine back against wall and check to see if the pump is locked up. then check the motor. then turn the transmission pulley. if all three move freely(transmission will be a little stiff) then I would suspect the timer. if loud humm could still be motor.
