This may not be just a reception problem. Usually dark screens are a sign that the inverter power board is getting intermittent or the backlights are fading. If you need service for you television.Call Insignia customer care at this telephone number 1-877-467-4289. They can tell you where to ship or take your unit for service. You can try to solve you reception problems with a amplified indoor antenna. These products can usually be found in local electronic stores like Fry's or the Micro Center. They are television signal amplifiers for antennas. You can buy them all in one package or as a add on. If you are not sure what to look for, just go to the store and ask for their help. You can also find them on line by using google for television antenna signal amplifiers. I hope this information helps you with your Problem.

Most cable boxes have a cable connection for standard antenna on older TV. Best suggestion would be to ask your cable company

Using hdtv antenna (not cable) but get no signal when scanning channels on my Insignia 19 inch tv

You may be using the wrong type of antenna. Apparently there is a lot of mystery and fiction in the advertisement of these antennas. Read this article and see if it doesn't clear up some issues for you.

Why can't i get a signal? i just moved the Insignia flat screen from the bedroom were it was working fine to the kitchen to replace a TV that was also working fine, Why can't i get a signal?

Did you re-connect your insignia to an Antenna? Also if your are trying to receive over air broadcast in that part if your house it's possible you'll need a more powerful antenna.

24 inch screen shows about about 15 inches square

Check your cables connections and try other input plugs. If you are trying to watch a DVD, check your dvd (or other equipment resolution/size options. Nothing in the user guide gives you setting options. Although you should hit the PICTURE button and try different options.

I have a 42 inch Insignia plasma tv. I only hook

If you have the audio cables hook up correctly to where the video cable from DVD is connected to, it should be RED and WHITE wires for audio. Then go to on screen audio setup menu to see if the speakers is turn off in the menu. Also try hooking up the powered PC speakers to the AUDIO LINE out RCA jacks to see if you get the sound OK there.

Interference

Hi there.

>Check your antenna - if you have a small bedroom TV set bring it front (or borrow one from a friend that has one) and plug the aerial in it. If picture has the same level of interference, it is the antenna. Outdoor antennas usually require professional servicing due to hazards associated.

>If the bedroom TV shows clear picture, next step is to remove the possibility that the TV set interferes itself - get a pair of plug-on ferrite cores (they look like a 1-inch long round barrel slashed in half until clipped on as one) and clip one on the power cord, as near the TV set as possible, and the other on the aerial cable, as near as possible to the tv set again. If problem persists post again.

DTV converter box

Buy a hdtv antenna to autoscan program channels which should bring in a lot more then reconnect with the older antenna afterwards and if you're still not getting all the channels then each source needs a strong hdtv antenna that can be adjusted manually.
