Question about Kenmore 46462 Front Load Washer

Open Question

Kenmore he2plus washer stopped, F6 code, didn't drain, and now it won't start.

When we cleaned the drain, we found a plastic ball 2-3 inches in diameter. Is that suppose to be there?

SOURCE: Kenmore HE4t Won't continue drain cycle Code F6 & beeping

Take off the bottom panel (unplug unit first!) and unscrew the cap on the drain cylinder, be sure to have plenty of towels to soak up the water! pull out the center piece and check out all the treasures stored inside. Be sure to use a flashlight and lift up the black hose behind it to get any leftovers in the hose. I just did it today and could not believe how much stuff was in there...coins. pens, buttons, lost of wet lint had it clogged. The clothes finally don't smell!

My kenmore HE2 wont drain.

Hi there I suggest that some machines have that white ball to stop water from syphoning out of the machine when on a wash cycle but your problem is either a blocked pump, (try and take the pump off as some debris will go past the filter and stop the impeller from turning hence no water being pumped out) or a kinked outlet hose which can easily happen when you push the machine back into it's place in the kitchen.
I'm not too conversant with your make of machine but in general all machines are basically the same.
If you can't hear the pump spinning then it may be something more like one of the circuit boards may have failed.

Kenmore he2plus what's troublecode f-21

F21 on the tech sheet says Long Drain If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valve turns off.
NOTE: After 4 mins the "Sd" error will be displayed then 4 mins later the f/21 error code will be displayed.
Press Stop two times to clear the display.

(Solutions:) Check drain hose
unplug washer and check electrical connections at pump
Check filter for foreign objects
If these fail it says to replace pump.

F-21 error code, washer stops

Hi,

Check for the drain hoses(both sides of the pump) and check for a blockage, then check the pump for blockage, there should be 4 impellers on this pump and they can get broken off by coins and debris.
Thank you !!

My kenmore he2plus washer doesn't drain and to top it off, the sears customer service on the phone hung up on me when i asked to speak to a manager/supervisor!

Way to go American Customer Service!! I would check your pump and see if it needs to be cleaned out. There may be stuff clogging the pump, not allowing the cheap plastic insides to spin the water out. That was my problem with anohter type of washer.

F21 error on kenmore he2plus washmachine. Door locks. Due to no spinning and water remaining in the machine? I run the rinse/drain&spin program (15 minutes) several times. it stays at 15min remaining...

"F21" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be displayed. This may be an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1.First, attempt to unplug the washer for at LEAST 30 minutes to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches with the unit. If the error code returns, proceed to step 2.
2.Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
3.Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
4.Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump.

It means you have a drain problem. It could be a pressure switch or the drain filter plugged.

Kenmore dish washer wont drain

Those are Chinese massage balls. You place them in your palm and rub them together and the result is a "calming" effect, which are ingeniously placed their by the courteous engineers at Kenmore to help you relax while you perform the self-repair. Just kidding. I had the same problem and learned that they are called "float balls". There should a small hole where the water comes up and drains - they are placed in that hole.
