AOC Monitor says "no signal" and won't wake up!

My AOC F19 monitor is only two months old and has worked fine. But yesterday, when attempting pushing the bottom part of the button (hoping to turn down the brightness, but not having a manual, I wasn't sure what I was doing), it went to sleep and won't wake up. When I turn it off and then on again, it says "no signal" and then immediately the yellow light goes on again, into sleep mode. I can't wake it up. It's connected to a Mac Mini. I have unplugged and replugged every cord I can find, but still it sleeps on. I've turned it off and on multiple times. I've pushed the button (while yellow light is on) multiple times (hopefully not messing it up more!). Help! -- Lindsay

This monitor refuses to wake up because it cannot find the signal from the computer.

When the light is amber, force the pc to shut down by holding the power button until all lights go off. Then, after about 10 seconds, power the pc back up again.

If this does not start your monitor, unplug all the monitors connections and plug them back in again. These things should reform the connection from the pc to the monitor.

good luck

We have purchased two e950Sw LED 18.5 monitors to replace the crt monitors on two of our computers. Old monitors worked fine. Both of these monitors when hooked up get the "No signal" message....

Your old monitors might have had a higher screen resolution or and incomparable resolution for your new monitors.
Probably the easiest way to get them to work is to plug the old monitors in then go to your control panel / display and set the resolution to 1366 x 768 as this is the native resolution of the e950Sw LED.

If the monitor is black either the computer is not sending signal to the monitor or the monitor is getting the signal and its broken.

1.) does the old monitor or another monitor work with the computer you have. if yes your monitor is prolly broke since there is not much to a monitor they automatically detect signal as soon as its turned on.

2.) if the monitor doesnt work the old one then your computer is the issue and it can be a lot of things can cause no video

No power in the Monitor

Sounds like a fairly drastic fault, possibly in the power supply section. Probably not worth fixing with the cost of new LCD screens, but maybe worth asking at a local repair place.

Do you have a soldering gun? Its not that hard to fix, get the capacitors on ebay for $6-$8 with shipping.
