Question about Kenmore Dryers
Kenmore ultra fabric care 80 series 2 things, takes long time to dry. and the buzzer won't shut off, will stop if you leave the door open
Could be a number of things, but you may want to test with an ohmmeter if you have one.
It sounds like your timer needs to be replaced. If the buzzer is not shutting off, the timer may not be turning to the off position. It may be really slow our out of wack, not letting the dryer completely dry. It also could be an error with the dryer's control module (kind of like a computer for the dryer)
I also recommend playing around with door switch, it to may be faulty. If the dryer does work with door closed, it is unlikely to be the door switch. You will have to test timer and door switch with ohmmeter or voltmeter to determine that the voltage current is constant and not speratic or shorting out.
