Question about Hampton Bay 54 In. 5-Blade Fan, Chestnut, Autumn Mist

Open Question

I have the Hampton Bay ceiling fan that has five leaf like blades

I have the Hampton Bay ceiling fan that has five leaves for blades (that's what the blades look like) I am trying to take it down but where the motor shaft goes up to the ceiling the two screws that MIGHT loosen and allow the shaft to come loose from the ceiling are inaccessible by a screw driver.

SOURCE: ceiling fan

If the fan blade mounts are removable, go to your local hardware store with one of the mounts, and find some screws that will fit. You might not be able to get the same color, but if you check a few stores you should find something with the right shape of head to fit snugly.

SOURCE: Fan not blowing air.

theres a small toggle switch on the fan

that switch is to change direction on the way the fan is blowing

one direction for downward blowing

the other direction is for upward blowing

depends on the area you have to determine which is the best, but i doubt area restriction will hamper force air blowing, air will flow regardless, the area might be big so you dont feel it.

as being living in the attic, HOT AIR rises, so you might want to invest in some installation for the ceiling, because whent he sun hit the roof, it will create an oven effect, in your living area. the hot air is always present, you should have a ventilation fan blowing the hot air out, like thru a small window, the more hot air you blow out, the better.

not sure if this make sense. not sure how big the room is, as FANs are NOISY by nature.

We have a hampton bay ceiling fan model 54cvt. We cant figure out how to change the light bulb or change the direction of the blades. We dont have a manual for the fan.

This fan is also known as the Hampton Bay Covington 54 Ceiling Fan. You need to turn the globe anti clockwise until it comes out. The full instruction manual can be found here.
