The manual says...

"If you are to use 6 ohm speakers, be sure to set the "SP IMP" to "6 ohm Min" before using this unit (see page 30). 4 ohm speakers can be used as the front speakers (see page 118)." ... which basically says the same thing in a table.

Set it for 6 ohms and try ity out. If it exhibits any problems like the amp cutting off you might want to lower the volume or analyze it to see if the 4 ohm guys are the problem.

BTW: That spec is just a nominal value. At various frequencies every speaker's impedance changes. The proof is in the pudding. The Yami won't self destruct unless you crank it to the stops and ignore the audible warnings of stress.

Yamaha home theatre system RXV 350 amplifier

Check it without speaker connection. If the set does not go to protection mode, check all the speakers by connecting one by one at a time and switch the set ON; to find the faulty speaker. If the set goes to protection mode even no speaker connected, check and replace damaged components at its audio output section circuit. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Speakers not playing

The problem can be the cable or speakers or RX-V463 or settings. Need to check one by one.
Set the RX-V on DTS or Dolby Digital
1) Check Cables - connect the 2 (surround) cables from RXV's Centre Out to Centre speaker. If the Centre speaker works, then cables are ok.
2) Check speakers - Connect each Surround speaker to RXV's Centre out. If it works Speakers are ok.
3) Check RXV - Set it on DTS or Dolby Digital
Connect RXV's surround out (one at a time) L and R to the Centre speaker. If there is no sound, the problem could be RXV's settings (I need to read the manual).

Hope this helps.

Just bought a used yamaha receiver model RXv793 do not know how to hook it up.

First do not panic by seeing all sockets in the back side of the receiver. You can connect 5 speakers and one subwoofer on the speaker A switch and maybe a second pair of stereo speakers on the B switch. All the speaker sockets have red and black terminals, so do all speakers. Just get decent cables ( You can buy a whole connection Kit if you want ) and connect the corresponding outlets to you speakers. If you have a powered subwoofer connect the subwoofer input to a socket labeled Subwoofer pre out on the RXV. You will need a RCA to RCA cable for that Next you will need a coaxial or Optic fiber cable to connect a DVD player digitally. The back of the DVD player will have a socket marked coaxial out, and so does the RXV's backside. Just link them .
Turn on the system everything should work. If you are not getting DVD sound there is small button on the RXV front panel called Digital input -- set it to auto ( keep pressing the button and it will scroll through various modes). Also remember to switch on speaker A on the front panel.

What is the recommended fork oil capacity for a 1999 yamaha R6 (5EB)

Try use SAE 10 or 15 but for a more harder one use SAE 30 fork oil for 275 - 350 cc. Check your manual or with your local Yamie dealer

Pushing 4 ohm speaker systems

Officially this receiver supports only 6 and 8 ohm speakers. But for surround speakers it should not do any harm, because they are not played at full volume. But be sure to set yamaha for 6 ohm speakers.
Using only 4 ohm speakers makes the amplifier work more hard and produce more heat, that's why you can't use it at high volume.
