How to disassemble HP G71 laptop

What are you looking to fix on it, to take it apart. IF you are just looking to take it apart, to scrap, take out all the screws, take battery off, take memory and hard drive out, Etc. Not sure what you are looking to do.

Disassemble a La Cie Porsche-design external CD burner case?

I just pulled one apart. You're not going to get it to work unless you pry it apart on the bottom. the parts are stuck together with 2 sided tape. use a thin, flat bladed screwdriver to pop it apart. i did this with relative ease, and it worked alright. didn't trash the plastic too badly either.

The plug on my toshiba satellite buzzes and appears to be broken What can I do now to get out of this bad situation?

You will definitely need to disassemble your laptop & replace the broken plug. You will have to desolder the defective plug & replace it with a new one.

I need the specs on my disk drive to replace it. I want to buy a new one and I lost the owner manual that tells me what will and wont coordinate with my laptop

If you are going to take your computer apart anyway, you could use a dry run. Shut everything down and disassemble your computer, pull the hard drive and read all the numbers right off the case, write 'em down and go on line to match models and retrieve the specs....voila. When you put everything back together again it will work just the way it did before.
Now, walking you through installing and copying your hardrive is a whole 'nother sumthin.

How to fit new dvd/rw drive into a Dell d600 laptop

First, you have to make sure that it is the same size drive and that it will fit into the laptop. Is the new drive a Dell also or another brand? Laptops are not hard to take apart - but there are a LOT of little screws. When you take apart a laptop, you should have paper, pen and tape handy. Draw a rough diagram of your laptop as you disassemble it and then tape the screws to the section that you have removed them from. Otherwise, when you reassemble it, you will have screws just sitting there, looking around, wondering where they should go!

Recovery mode

Hello,

You might have a bad motherboard or a bad hard drive. If you did the format and it did NOT say "Harddisk Problem" then your hard drive is probably healthy.

BUT "firmware problem" still means you have a hardware problem. You could replace the motherboard.
