Question about Nikon CoolScan 9000 ED Film Scanner
My Nikon 900ED is warmed up, I've put in the negative carrier, etc. the tool palette appears on my screen , but the Nikon Browser does not appear.

Thanks, but yes, I was inserting it correctly. Turns out I had actually purchased 2 defective carriers in a row! I finally got a good one and all is well.

I think the scanner may have got confused and be expecting another adaptor to be connected. If you slot in the single slide adaptor, wait until all the scan functions become active on-screen, then remove that and insert the SF-210, you might find it works OK.

Better check first if your system was able to detect your scanner.
See if the Film Scanner is detected on the FireWire Device Tree,
go to: Apple > About This Mac > click the More Info button > then select FireWire in the Hardware section.
If so, then open the Image Capture Application and see if you can select the Nikon Film Scanner?
If you can not find your scanner...Please disconnect all Firewire devices.. and leave only the film scanner connected on your system before installing the driver software.
