I doubt that's an electrical breaker - because it wouldn't take 10 minutes to flip, it would happen almost immediately. It must be the heat breaker. There are two reasons your vacuum system could be overheating and tripping that breaker. Either you need to replace the filter - if it's partially clogged then the motor may have to work too hard to get suction and cause it to overheat. I'd suggest checking the filter first, because that's the easy fix. If it's not the filter, then your motor is going out. You'll want to replace that. Check the filter, and let me know. I'll see if I can find a place to order a new motor for it.

Your vacuum may be overheating and shutting off the suction motor. Clean the cyclone assembly and the filters to see if they could be restricting the airflow.

Ok, it has a thermal breaker built into it to protect the motor from burning up.

9 out of 10 times it means either a blockage or even the main air filter is blocked--if filter blocked the motor overheats so.....

Locate the filter and if foam it will be washable--did one recently with this issue in another brand--instructions right where the filter is indicate to wash in sink etc and water ran black for several minutes, hope this helps.

These are prone to overheating. The manufacturer put a foam 'filter' wrap around the electric motor. This filter wrap insulates the motor, trapping heat inside, which causes overheating. The motor is very similar in form and function to the one in the Hoover Windtunnel, but the Windtunnel has no filter wrap. It doesn't overheat, and functions fine without it. There is a filter on the intake anyway. It's a redundant filter, and I have removed mine. It works fine now.

If you take the filter out yourself, you will need a special screwdriver for one of the motor cover screws. I guess they don't want the consumers opening it up.

I suggest taking it to a vacuum repair shop and explaining to them the problem, and asking them to remove the filter wrap from the motor.

It is likely to be one of 2 problems. 1. the washable filter is blocked - you can test this by removing the filter and running it for 10 minutes and see if it improves. Or it could be the radix assembly that is blocked, just remove the dirt canister and radix and run it without those pieces for 10 minutes. You dont need to be actually vacuuming dirt up for these tests but it will let you know which is the faulty part. I can help you with either component if you are in Australia. it overheated, just have to wait a few minutes, maybe change bag and have a look at filter in bottom of chamber where bag is located, clean it if its really dirty. lack of flow will cause the vacuum to overheat.

Perhaps the motor is overheating. Open the casing and inspect the motor for excessive dust around the air vents. Clean it out. Also inspect around the shaft to make sure it is spinning freely and it hasn't become entwined with debris.
