Question about Copystar CS-2050 All-In-One Printer
It should have an external plug into the back of the copier. Disconnect it and it should no longer recognize it.

Testimonial: "No external plug on back of machine, I thought a setting has to be changed to direct all copies to the bottom finishing tray, (their are two finishing trays-the top tray is where the faxes come out-*that is the area the paper stops and machine says jammed..the bottom tray is finishing for the copy machine"

try this. enter "10871087" from keypad. you should now be in maintenance mode. enter "163"press "start or print" key. you should see a screen that says "execute" or it may say "reset". cursor or highlight "execute" and press "start" key. now press "stop/clear" once or twice. then press "01" then "start" to exit maint. mode. very important!! as soon as you press "01" and you see "please wait" open your front door. wait 2 secs, then close door. that should get you going unless there is a true failure. good luck and you may want to write this procedure down as it may happen sometime again.

ok. try this, take the rear cover off, theres quite a few screws. what i'm thinking has happened is you may have pushed the contact for the main corona wire out of place. this board is pretty flimsy. once you have back cover off, the board will be slightly to the right of center as u r looking at machine from rear. i can't recall EXACTLY what board looks like, but if you loosen your drum unit and have someone pull out drum a little and push back in, you will see what and where i am talking about. i'm a tech and had this bite me in the behind one time. will never forget it. hopefully, that will take care of it for you. let me know what you find.

Either a problem with the document feeder or something on the glass. If it's faded it may just be a roller not pushing the paper onto the scanning area properly.

ok... I am tech... and I had the same problem... you need to install the generic postscript driver then goto this ip address (http://localhost:631)and tune the driver... if not you will only print from tray 1 and only a4 paper size...
