these people are right and there is definitely some hardware issues with your computer...which can be repaired but not really worth the money or effort.

The 4 blinks are telling you that there is a fault. The same as Computer Bios Beeps.
I,d suggest removing the RAM/Memory, and replacing it. Press and hold the power button for more than 4 seconds, to ensure it isn,t in standby mode. failing this remove the cpu and re-seat it as it may be slightly out of position, or out of it,s socket. finally have a look at the back or underside to see if there is a reset switch/hole.

It's a hardware failure like a cpu fan not working or faulty ram.Check the gateway site for an explanation of the lights. It's flashing a trouble code.

This could well indicate a low battery and is merely a warning. Please read the attached link for the manual.
