Check in the Installation Menu that Antenna Power is set to OFF.

There is a chance that the water that came down the aerial lead has damaged the tuner module in the Humax.

THIS PROBLEM IS NOT LOGICAL-SIGNAL STRENGHTS HAVE BEEN CHECKED AND WAS OK BUT THE PICTUE KEEPS BREAKING DIFFERENT ON 3 DIFERENT TVS IN THE HOUSE BUT WHEN I REMOVE ANY ONE OF THEM AND CONNECR IT INTO O

In fringe areas; where signal strength is too weak, this should happen. It sounds that, you're using an Ariel booster along with a splitter. Just connect one TV at a time, without using the splitter. If picture break occurs even this time, adjust the the signal strength of the booster [either low or high], and check whether it can help you. Keep in mind, iv the signal strength is too low, or set to too high, this fault will happen, as AGC [automatic Gain Control] circuit inside the set won't function properly. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

How do i get a signal. my tv keeps saying no signal

Check all the cable connections, assuming the ariel is ok, any connection with a screw type should be investigated, ie undo & make sure it is a good connection, 9 times out of 10 it will be 1 of these, especially if you are 1 of those people who remove the arial cable when you go on hols, start there.

Were is the Ariel output

You have bought a monitor NOT a tv. You need to buy/obtain a separate tuner box for tv signals then connect your tuner box to your monitor.

Tv has no signal

The TV you are trying to connect to may be an older type and not a DIGITAL receiver. The old ANALOG type no longer work with the Digital applications unless to have a CONVERTER BOX.

On my cb when i do a radio check it says rf power output fail what does this mean

RF Power is the power that transmits the signal from your radio. RF power output fail means that the radio is not putting out a signal. This could be caused by a high SWR but more likely it's caused by the a fault in the transmitter part of the CB.
If this is a newly installed CB it's possible that the ariel is not connected properly. This can sometimes happen if the co-ax wire, that connects the ariel to the radio, has badly soldered joints or short circuits. These can be checked with a multimeter or continuity tester by checking that there is not a connection between the centre pin of the plug and the outer sleeve of the plug. There should be continuity between the centre pin of the co-ax at the radio end and the centre pin at the radio end. If the ariel end is sealed you may be able to check it against the ariel instead if it's metal.

If all these checks pass you can test that the CB is transmitting power by using an SWR meter and a 50 ohm dummy load. Connect the SWR meter to your CB (where the ariel normally connects) and connect a 50 ohm dummy load to the other end of the SWR meter using a short co-ax lead. When you transmit with the radio the dummy load acts as an ariel, though you won't be able to contact anyone with it. Set the SWR meter to POWER FWD and it will show if any power is being transmitted. If there's not then the fault is in the radio and it will take a technician to repair it. If the power is going forward then the fault is with the antenna or the connection to it. Dummy loads and SWR meters can be picked up fairly cheaply on ebay if you don't have one or if you know any radio amateurs (ham radio operators) they should have them and would probably lend you them.

I hope this helps you with your problem.

I was given a technika hd ready dvbt dvd built in freeview with no instructions.I need instructions how to tune in freeview. It had previously had the freeview tuned in but now the channels are not...

hi,
First of you have to check the Atenna connection in the rare of your tv. Check for any loose contact on the connection of the wire to the pin. may be its the cause for showing signal as 0%. you can confirm the same by connecting the tv at the place where you doughters tv is connected. If there you get the picture then there is some thing wrong with the atenna connection.

If want information how to tune your tv then need information like BRAND and MODEL NUMBER of you TV.
ok

Sony V lcd 32 inch losing digital channels and after doing a resetting scan it is ok for about 30 mins.... then screen image breaks up totally and message 'weak signal' shows on screen. Help, please.

You answered the question in your question.
''weak signal' means exactly that, however it can also mean the signal is too strong.

If you have a booster installed into the ariel remove it, if not, try one. Make sure the TV is directly connected to the ariel, not via a DVD recorder or any other devices which require an ariel input.

Sony tv's have very sensitive tuners installed so its just a case of making your aprticualr settings compatible.

Check signal strength over at www.digitaluk.co.uk

Thanks

Recieving no digital channels in my LCD TV

hi there alot of the updates for the system should automaticly download via ariel to the tv to keep you up to date some times if the strenght of the signal isnt srong enough then you might not get the update they send out , one thing i have found is that if you use an ariel booster then this makes the signal stronger this helps particularly if you have more than one tv set up with the same ariel, you could try unpluging all ariels to other tvs making sure the ariel lead you are using has no conections in it as this also gives you loss of signal if there are multiple conections in the lead runing from the ariel to your tv set hope this helps some

Cheers ;)

Green Picture

The problem sounds like one I had. If so, the cause is as follows.

The Daewoo ouputs synchronisation information on the green channel of the RGB outputs (which are pins in the SCART socket) The Panasonic TV automatically preferentially selects the RGB input in the SCART rather than the composite video signal in the SCART. The video circuits in the Panasonic should ignore the sync on the green channel but instead interpret the sync as green signal information which means the adjustment of the green channel is upset leading to a very green picture.

Possible solutions:
1. From the TV, manually select composite video input, not RGB. This may not be possible - I think the TV automatically goes for the RGB if it is present.
2. Disconnect the wire to pin 16 in the SCART socket. This is the signal from the VCR/DVD to indicate that RGB is available. Disconnecting it means the TV defaults to the composite video. This is what I did.
3. Connect the TV to the VCR/DVD using component or S-VHS leads only.
