Pneumatic air foot petal

If the machine won't work with two pedals that are good then the problem isn't the foot pedal. Does the light turn on? If this is functional then you know there is "electricity" attached to it. Since both pedals aren't functional you will have to have the motor and connecting cord (inside machine) to see which is the problem. By the way; if the problem is the cord inside the machine you may not want to plug it in. You stand a chance of getting shocked. Have it checked for safety.

Tip

Sewing machine balance wheel stops.

Hold the wheel with one hand, turn the stop motion screw towards you. Place both feet upon the treadle and turn the balance wheel towards you at the same time allowing the feet to move freely and lightly with the treadle. Continue this until everything moves freely and easily. Do this until the machine can re-start without the balance wheel turning in the wrong direction.
Then tighten the balance wheel. Then place cloth under the presser foot then lower presser foot with the lever.

What might cause my sewing machine to not respond when the foot pedal is depressed?

make sure the plug for the foot pedal is connected securely to the machine.
could be the plug in the machine has a problem even tho the foot petal is plugged in
could be the foot petal has gone out and needs to be checked.

Have a brother sawing machine it just humms when i press ladel

would be something wrong with the foot petal or the motor, make sure the foot petal is snuggly connected into the plug of the machine, and if it is, then the machine needs to be checked

Pressure foot for free motion quilting and settings

I have used the embroidery foot, which has a round hoop about 1/4" in diameter on the "business end." You can also use an open-toed foot. You want to set your tension so that the bobbin thread doesn't show on the front. You can free-motion quilt with the feed dogs either up or down; some people feel that leaving them up gives a more regular stitch length. You should try both ways to see which you like better.

Also, there is a really neat website with tons of free-motion quilting designs, each with a little video of how to do it; I recommend checking it out:

Foot petal is not working and it is plugged in.

Is there power, does the sewing bed light come on? If so there is probably a fault with the pedal. If you are practical you can open the pedal and fit a volt meter across the terminals to see if the voltage increase when the pedal is pressed.

Have you talked to the folk from whom you bought the "Fab" device ?
They are the most likely to be able to advise...perhaps take all lthe bits in to them to look at, they may have adapters or other solutions.
