Question about Washing Machines
My wml730 has always worked perfectly until about 6 months ago but now regularly won't move from the wash program (to the rinse and then spin). It doesn't happen every time, but sometimes I come home after having been out for several hours and it is still on the wash bit. I can manually put it into a spin then - no need for a rinse as it has been running so long! I can have 3 or 4 washes when it all works normally and then all of a sudden it doesn't again. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a full or smaller load. I have tried cleaning the filter but there was nothing in it. Anyone have any ideas?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: washer will not spin
normally i would suggest changing motor carbons for hotpoint washers, but my experience is that the WMA motor armature is weaker than the carbons, normally if there is no connection fault a replacement motor is the answer 9 times out of 10, not a job for the amature

this sounds like cold water supply not getting to the machine, test the supply from the house is working, is the machine buzzing slightly when it should be filling, if so the fault is the house supply to the washer, if the supply to the washer is fine, check the cold water solenoid for open circuit, thats about all it could be, if it worked fine before, if i have helped rate me please

SOURCE: does machine have a filter
The filter is to be found at the rear of the washer.
Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove large black hose fastened to bottom of tub.
Watch out for water running out.
Remove plastic`filter inside hose and clean.
Refit filter and hose.
Dirty washing can somtimes be attributed to washing at too low a temperature, so make sure you have selected right temp for washing.
Please leave a fixya rating for my solution.Thanks.
