I dont have the original cd for the camera to download my pictures. how do I get the drivers for the fuji 3800?

Hi there,

If you dont have the CD, you can still download the pictures from your computer. All you have to do is connect it using the usb cable. Right click on your windows START button and choose Explore. It will open a windows explorer containing folders and subfolders. On the left pane, under My Computer or Computer, look for the drive letter associated with your Fuji Camera. Click on it to show the files on the right side. You just have to locate for the folder containing the pictures. Then once found, select them then right click, choose copy then go to your computer's local drive, right click and choose Paste. That's it.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Thank you for choosing FixYa!.

UPLOADING PICTURES

As you have probably noticed it is not possible to load a picture to the camera by just opening up the camera in MyComputer and dragging the files (FUJI - why?).

Connect the camera to the PC and switch it on.

Open FinePixViewer as soon as you click on one of the photos, on the right hand panel, the Image Utilization tab expands to "Save image to the camera (PTP)". Click on this to send the selected images to the camera.

One word of caution the camera only seems to be able to display the photos it took. Downloading a JPG from the web resulted in my camera locking up with READ ERROR. No help in the manual but I was able to recover by using FinePixViewer to delete the offending JPG from the camera.
In fact I backed up and deleted all the stored photos to my PC. I then deleted the new one and reloaded them back to the camera. Once again thank you FUJI (but I must add a fantastic little camera).

Good luck.

Cant take a picture

This is a common problem with this camera and it needs to be sent back to Fuji for repair.I've been through it three times and then they replaced the A350 with an A400 and now I'm having the same problems with the A400.
They want to swap it with a E500.
Both of these replacements are less of a camera then the A350.
If they won't repair it under warranty I suggest you stay away from Fuji cameras in the future,I know I will never buy one again

Fuji a345

Simply wear and tear.- dirt ingression- damage from a knock- nothing you can do about unless you are a watchmaker. A repair will be as costly as simply replacing it Check out Fuji support though to be sure.

Fuji Finepix split screen

If the picture taken from digicam are ok when viewed from a computer, the lcd viewer has a loose connection or defective already, if you can open your unit, try to disconnect and reconnect the lcd flexwire inside.
