Question about Bosch Refrigerators
Hello. I have a Bosch KGU 34640 fridge/freezer and the freezer compartment is not getting down to the correct temperature (-18 deg. C). It can only get to between -10 and -14 deg. C. Also no freezer lights are on at the top of the unit and the 'super' and 'Deg C' buttons don't appear to do anything. There is very little frost or ice in the freezer compartment and it was also turned off for 24 hours a week ago to clear everything. The fridge works fine but does anyone have any ideas why the freezer doesn't and what I might do to fix it? Thanks.
Check freon volume on freezer, reload if needed.

I had a similar problem a couple years back with my freezer. Behind the vent cover in the back there were a few lines that ran the cooling or something like that. What happened was my freezer was icing up horribly. I was told to take that panel off and check those lines. Sure enough one of the lines was busted through. That was why my freezer was having problems. I apoligize I don't know anything about the front buttons tho.

You have a clogged defrost drain tube. best way is to thaw unit out. Your vents are being blocked so no air flow is pushed down.

SOURCE: Bosch KGU44120 frost free fridge
drain is blocked in freezer. take back panel off inside the freezer and you will probably find that the bottom is covered with ice. melt off with a hairdryer and hot water till water flows freely down the drain. needs a bit of patience

SOURCE: freezer cold but not fridge
too much ice bulid up will stop enough cold air being blown into the fridge.Try turning it off letting all ice melt then turn it back on again and set thermostat at a lower temp. There may be ice you can't see.
