Reset All
NOTE: THIS IS AN ADVANCED OPERATION AND RESTORES ALL SETTINGS
TO THE FACTORY DEFAULTS. NORMAL USERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED
TO PERFORM THIS OPERATION!
If your device freezes up press the Menu button and hold for 15 seconds.
This is like a power down of the device. Once you perform the reset, the adjustments you made during last operation
will be gone.....IF that doesn't work try to recover...download the update software and install then lock your sansa hold in the rec key on the left at the same time push the menu/power button this will take you to recovery mode then connect to the computer Star the update software if it doesn't start automatic goto /start /all programs /Sandisk/sansa updater/ sansa updater and start it up manually... follow instructions on the updater and the sansa hope this works.... Sansa player wont turn on

To get it in recovery mode. Put the Hold switch into the lock position. Then hold REC and Power for about 10 seconds.

You need to hook up your cable after that and you can reset the firmware.

I did not get the "Swtich to Recovery mode" screen, my screen was stuck on "Bad Track." I formatted the drive (which deleted EVERYTHING), and then i put the songs back on, and it works just fine. Try this, it might help.

Sansa e260 problem

It might just need to be reformatted. If you don't care about deleting and redownloading everything with songs and videos and pictures, too, then reformat it. Just plug the mp3 player into your computer and right click on the icon in the MY COMPUTER window, and click on FORMAT. It should come to a new window and click on start format. If this doesn't work, then call me to help you any further. Ask for Maxwell at 1-(239)-945-0583.
