Stuck windows startup screen

Please turn off the computer, start hitting F8 at the startup and then choose last known good configuration. If this does not work, choose Safe mode options. If nothing works, please restore it to factory settings by holding down CTRL key and hitting F11 key up and down at the startup.

HP G71-340US NOTEBOOK FACTORY RESTORE

There should be a disk that came with the machine to do that. You have to insert the disk and do startup from that before restoring. There is actually a factory restore on the hardrive if you can find a way to get to it. Will this laptop start in safemode? Try F8 on startup screen to see menu and choose "safemode". Let me know, may can help you do this.

My VAIO Laptop screen keeps freezing when i run windows normally

If your screen freezes after a normal startup, it sounds like a memory problem.
If you have a virus problem or currpt or missing files, you will experence the same problems.
Depending upon how much memory you have and what programs are loading when computer starts, is important.
Reloading you software will only prolong the problems and they will return.
At the run window on xp, Type msconfig enter, tag mormal startup on the fisrt line. and in the upper right hit startup next to tools.
Next you will see a list of programs that startup will unit boots.
Remove anything that says, adware or any known programs that you know should not be running.
You can go to microsoft for much more infomation on this.
Good luck
