Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: how hard it is to replace by yourself main board Samsung LN-T4065

You need to do some more diagnosing of the problem. If you get sound and change channels take a bright flashlight and place it again the screen. Look for an image around the edge of the flashlight.
If you see an image that means the LCD controller board (TCON) is probably good.

The problem is probably one of three causes;
1) Inverter board is bad
2) CCFT (cold cathode fluorescent light) are bad.
3) Power to the inverter board is bad. You can also check the connectors.

SOURCE: impossible to change channels, turn TV on, Power and Opc blinking

go into programming mode and search for channels   it will do this automatically to find all antennae and all cable channels    if this is hooked up to a receiver box then only channel 3 will be found or used    also most tvs are computerized these days and at times it will need to 'rebooted'     unplug the power and wait 10 seconds and plug it in again    this may have to be done whenever you are locked out from changing channels or using the volume controls

Want to use my current speakers with a new surround sound system. Current system is 5.1 channels, rated at 100w per channel @ 8. Ohms. New System is rated 145watts, 5.2 channels at 6 Ohms. Will b ok?

Hi Ronald.
8 Ohm speakers will work just fine as replacements for the
6 ohm speakers. When fitting speakers you need to consider
The power handling capability. The impedance and the frequencies
involved. Power handling is expressed in wattage ie 100W.
Unfortunately this can be expressed in rms, max or peak music. The rms value (root mean square) is the only really relevant figure as this is the continuose handling power at 1 KHz. The impedance
is the resistance that the amp sees but is not a dc resistance and
varies with frequency. The lower the impedance the more power
will be drawn from the amp. In the event of a short circuit across
the speaker the amp will try to deliver infinite power into an infinitly
small load in an infinitesimal amount of time and will self destruct.
Using an 8 Ohm speaker draws less power than a 6 Ohm speaker.
Connecting speakers in parallel; results in the impedance beingreduced. For example two 8 Ohm speakers in parallel will result
in a 4 Ohm impedance load but in series will be 16 Ohms.
Incidentally the the .1 (5.1) is the sub woofer which only has
to handle the bass frequencies, a small percentage of the
amplifiers overall frequency response..
Connect your speakers and then power up the amp last
after double checking there are no shorts on the speaker
cables.
All the very best from Vintie.

No picture, just sound on Etec Flat Panel 40A99

Video circuit is separate from the Audio circuit. The main controller may switch to Audio, but if the unit is damaged from a power outage; part of the circuit board may not function. Needs professional servicing.

When i turn on my ps3, the green light stays on and the tv screen doesn't even change. i changed the cords to make sure the audio/video wasn't just out. i tried to enter 'recovery mode' but it won't even...

If you have a "slim" ps3, it does not beep 3 times. Try this.
First, with the system off, plug in your old red, white, yellow cables into the tv. (make sure your tv is on the correct setting). Now, just turn on the ps3 the regular way. Did you hear the sounds it normally makes when booting up (the ps3 boot music?). If so, thats good. If you did not, check again that the tv is on the right channel, and if possible, try another set of red, white, yellow cables.

If you heard sound, but do not get a picture, turn the ps3 back off. After the red light comes on, hold your finger down on the power button for about 5 seconds. If you have a fat ps3, it will beep 3 times after a few seconds to get back to regular tv mode. If you have a slim ps3, it will beep once, then 1 more time a few seconds later. It should reset and turn back on. If your tv is on the right channel and the cables work, then you should now see a picture and you know your audio/video is working. You can now try your HDMI cable and it should prompt you to use the HDMI at this point.

Hope that helps.
Mike!

I am getting a siren sound coming from my Vizio flat screen, what is that?

Without more information, it's hard to say- but, here's what it COULD be:
If it's coming only when watching TV on certain channels, the problem is somewhere along the cable before it reaches your house. If you hear the sound on TV or AV inputs, all the time, you may have a cable plugged into the wrong place, to one of the audio inputs (a red and/or a white.) If it's coming just from one channel, and you hear the correct audio in addition to the siren, you likely have something wrong with the electronics in the TV... if it's in both channels, it could be in the power supply, or in the speaker output circuit, or somewhere along the line... if it's just in one channel, it's likely in the amplifier circuit for that channel. I hope this helps, and please feel free to let me know if you have more information!

Under the channel it says SAP and no sound comes out on some channels,on other channels its says stero and works fine how can i fix the problem

I found this information in the manual, and perhaps it will help:

1 Switch the audio.

• Every time you press [AUDIO], the audio will

be switched as below.

MAIN : Outputs main-audio

SAP : Outputs second audio channel
MONO : Outputs mono-

Also the manual says this about SAP:

SAP

(Secondary Audio Program)

Second-audio channel delivered

separately from main-audio channel.

This audio channel is used as
an alternate in bilingual broadcasting.

Here is a link for the manual, in case you want to go over the settings. I'm thinking this is a setting problem in the menu, but it can be a physical problem with a cable line.
http://dukeelectronic.com/Manual/IWT3206.pdf
Of course it could also be a trickier problem, but check your settings, check the cable line with another TV if possible, and then contact ILO Support for help, in the event nothing fixes it.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
