If your GPS battery is fully charged, and the GPS device doesn't go past your start-up screen (e.g. agreement, owner, etc) to get to a driving screen, there's a possibility your navigation software may be corrupted; i.e. it hangs. I'm assuming it stays there, at the start up screen, for a very long time ...
Have you tried to do a "reboot" ... by holding down the ON/OFF button for a (long) while (until the system shuts down and starts up again) and then let it go ? Or have you tried to do a "hard reboot" by depressing the reset (hole) ?

If the navigation software is corrupted, you can (try to) restore it from your backup (using HOME) ... or get a good copy (from TomTom, a friend, etc.) to replace the navigation software. If you need further instructions/directions, let me know how I can reach you by email.

How do I get the shifter button unstuck? I can't remove the key although I can change gears.

I would start with a short squirt of WD40 around the stuck button and then try to work it, see if it gets unstuck.

My screen is side ways how do i put it back to normal

Do you have a rotating monitor? There are a few that can be rotated 90 degrees in the plane of the screen for a "portrait view" instead of the standard landscape view, and they will automatically swap horizontal and vertical signals as needed. If you have one of these, the position detector switch is stuck in the wrong position. You may be able to get it unstuck by rotating to the other position and back again.

There are some programs (e. g., Acrobat Reader) that let you rotate the view of the file you have open, but that only affects the contents of the window, not everything on the screen. I'm not aware of a program that rotates the full screen view for the entire system.

No display at startup but showing all lights

First we need to test if the problem should be the LCD screen. The easiest and most foolproof method for testing your lcd screen is to hook up the laptop to an external monitor. If the video output on the external monitor looks fine, this means that the problem is with the video connector, with your LCD panel itself, or with the circuitry that turns on the LCD.

Second we need to disassemble the laptop and find the video connector
on the system board (if the video is integrated on the motherboard) or on the video card that is attached to the motherboard. Try re-connecting the cables. You may as well locate the display connector on the back of the end LCD panel. Re-seat that one too. This way you can be sure that the problem is not related to connections.

Every now and then the switch located on the system board that turns the back light of the LCD on and off can become stuck. If this is the problem then your LCD never powers on. There's a little switch that detects whether the screen of your notebook is open or closed. That's the one we're talking about. Try to push it down and hope it gets unstuck.

Disassembling the laptop to unstick this switch is an option, but sometimes you can get away with not taking it apart. Try lightly hitting that plastic switch. But wait, this isn't the only possible cause, unfortunately. Re-seat the other connectors and cables that are present around the LCD panel and the video on board (including the inverter)

Windows Vista not loading

FIRST OF ALL YOU SHOULD
  • REMOVE THE BATTERY COMPLETELY
  • LEAVE IT TO STAND FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINS,
  • TAKE CLOSE LOOK AT THE USB PORT AS ITS LIKELY TO BE DAMAGED,
IF IT IS, THEN CAREFULLY REMOVE ANY DEBRIS WITH SOME TWWZERS AND ENSURE THAT NONE OF THE INTERNAL PINS ARE TOUCHING
  • REMOVE ANY OTHER USB DEVICES
  • REFIT BATTERY AND BOOT THE SYSTEM ,PRESS F8 AND SELECT LAST GOOD CONFIGURATION
WHAT YOU HAVE JUST DONE IS REDUCED THE CHANCES OF DAMAGING ANY FURTHER HARDWARE I.E. YOUR SYSTEM BOARD , AND STARTED THE SYSTEM AS IT WERE BEFORE THE SHOCKWAVE UPDATE,
IF EVERYTHING SEEMS OK AT THIS POINT ,YOU SHOULD NOT USETHE DODGY FLASHDRIVE AND CHECK YOUR WINDOWS IS UP TO DATE.
HOPE THIS HELPS
