SOURCE: I cannot program my tv to the remote

Try a code search method. If there is a code in the remote controller's programmed memory, it will respond. Otherwise, buy a new remote control. If you wish to buy its original remote control, you have to contact the authorized service center. If you wish to buy a universal remote control, you should know about, which brand remote control have setup code to your TV/device brand. You should first make sure about the number of digits in the codes to your device have. There are 3-digit, 4-digit, 5-digit and even 2-digit codes. You can get this detail by the code list attached to every universal remote control. The brand name of the remote control you select isn't a matter; but, its code list should have setup codes to your TV/device brand, otherwise you can't set it up with your device. Check this link and note which brand remote control have set-up codes to your device brand, and buy that brand remote control, according to availability.

Working my RCA T.V with my Dish network remote

Download a list of programming codes for your specific "Dish" remote that are applicable for RCA TVs:

https://www.mydish.com/support/products/remotes/how-to/program-to-tvother

The RCA brand has many codes since it has been built by different manufacturers over a long time. Try each one.

If no RCA codes work, and it is a newer LCD or LED TV, try programmable codes for SONY televisions, as the RCA brand seems to use the same codes as SONY for some features like Power/Volume Up Down/Channel Up Down.

Best of Luck.

Just program the remote to control it, the most likely code will be 566.
Below are two links the first will give you codes and help you address the remote, the second will help if there is still no picture. http://www.dishnetwork.com/downloads/pdf/user_guides_and_manuals/Remote_Codes_Web_Page.pdf

How to program a rca rcr451 remote

1. Manually turn on the component
you want the remote to control
(TV, VCR, DVD, satellite receiver
or cable box).
2. Locate the enclosed Code Lists.
Find the list for the component
you wish to program. Find your
component’s brand. You will see a
listing of four-digit codes for each
brand. If your brand isn’t listed,
use the Manual Code Search
method to program the remote
control. (Refer to page 6 for
Manual Code Search method.)
3. Press and hold the component key
(TV, VCR, DVD, SAT·CBL) you
wish to program. The LED
indicator light turns on and remains
on. If you release the component
key any time during the Direct
Code Entry procedure, the LED
indicator light blinks four times,
and the process is exited.
4. While holding down the component
key, consult the Code Lists for the
four-digit code that corresponds to
your component’s brand and use the
number keys (0-9) on the keypad to
enter it. While you are pressing the
numbers, the LED indicator
light turns off.
5. After the fourth number is entered,
the LED indicator light turns on. At
this time, release the component key.
If the LED indicator light turns off,
you have entered a valid code and
have followed the correct procedure
for Direct Code Entry.
If you enter a code number that is
not in the Code Lists or you do not
follow all of the steps for Direct
Code Entry, the LED indicator light
blinks four times when the
component key is released. This is an
indication that a programming error
has occurred. In that case, repeat the
Direct Code Entry process from step
3 and try the next code listed.
Throughout the programming
of each key, be sure to keep the remote
pointed at the IR sensor of the
component you are currently
programming the remote to control.
6. To confirm that the component key
is programmed with the correct
code for maximum functionality,
test the component. Attempt to
control a variety of the
component’s functions with the
remote. If some of the features of
your components do not work, try
programming the remote with a
different code in the list until you
find the code that allows the
remote to control the majority of
your component’s functions.
Different codes can provide
different levels of functionality.

Dish network remote to run RCA DVD player

I had rca remote that did not recieve ir signals but rf signals instead. Check online with rca or in owners manual for what type of signal factory remote sends. The dvd player I had was 5 dvd and that was the case. Dish might have an option like direct tv where you can program rf signals as well. Call dish network support or look online

Can I program my dish network remote for a rca

Try the RCA codes listed in the code book that came with your Dish remote. You will want to use the "AUX" button at the top of the dish remote. You will likely NOT get full functionality if it works at all, however, there is a chance you'll be able to change the channels and power the converter box on and off.

If the codes you have are segregated into categories of different devices, i.e. TVs, DVD players, etc. You probably will not be successful.

Also, there should be instructions in the remote manual that will tell you how to search all codes that are stored in the Dish remote.

While this may not solve your problem, I hope I've given you helpful information that will allow you to make an informed decision as to where to go from here.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Code list

Programming remotes for your devices (TV, DVD players, digsat/cable boxes/DVRs, etc) can be done often in an automatic (auto-code search) or manual (you input the code) mode.

Here are some pages that will help you choose the automatic and manual mode.

I'm missing the instruction manual for my RCA RCR460 remote control. I need the manual set-up instructions, and a list of all the potential codes to sync up to a Toshiba or Mitsubishi DVD player. Any help...

1. Manually turn on the component you want the remote to control (TV, VCR, DVD, satellite receiver or cable box). Note: If you press an invalid key during the Manual Code Search, the remote does not respond and the LED indicator light does not blink. If you do not press a valid Manual Code Search key (TV, VCR, DVD, SAT·CBL, ON·OFF, GO BACK), the search times out after two minutes. When the search times out, the LED indicator light blinks four times and turns off. The last programmed code under that component key is retained. 2. Press and hold the component key (TV, VCR, DVD, SAT·CBL) you wish to program. The LED indicator light turns on and remains on. 3. While holding the component key down, press and hold the ON·OFF key. The LED indicator light turns off. 4. After holding down both keys for three seconds, the LED indicator light turns back on. 5. Release both keys. The LED indicator light remains on. Throughout the programming of each key, be sure to keep the remote pointed at the IR sensor of the component you are currently programming the remote to control. 6. Press and release the ON·OFF key repeatedly until your component turns off. Each time you press the ON·OFF key, the LED indicator light blinks, and the next code in the list is sent. This process continues until all of the codes in the Code Lists have been searched. If your component turns off, you have found the correct code. (If it cycles through and the LED indicator light blinks four times and turns off, all codes have been searched. The Manual Code Search method is exited.) Press Stop when TV turns off.
