I only want to use the PC input ext4. Is there a way to lock it there?

After selecting the desired input, it should be there inside the memory IC of your TV, even after you switch the TV OFF. If it do not store the LPM {Last Position Memory}; means, the main system control memory IC inside your TV is faulty, and should be replaced.
This is an EEPROM [Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory). It is a very Small IC; can be located very near to the main system control IC at the main board. Contact any service technician to replace it.
It will look somewhat like this.

I am trying to get the tv to go to channel 116 so it will work with my satelite but it will only go to channel 99

The channel may have been erased from the channel memory by the ADD/ERASE feature. Add
the channel to the channel memory
To get the erased channels back to; you have to do it manually.
Enter its 'Menu" and come to "Set Up"
Press [UP] or [Down} buttons on the remote control to select and hilight [ADD/ERASE]
Press [>] of [<] buttons on the remote to select ADD or ERASE, depending on the function you want to perform.
NB: If you cannot get this function activated with your TV, make sure that the system memory IC on the circuit board of your tV is faulty, and should be replaced with same type and number. Actually it is a very skilled work, and must be done by any well experienced service techinician or by the Authorised Service Center for Toashiba at your town. OK

Asm after 3 second and then start searching

ASM [Automatic Search and Memory] function si used for autotuning for laocal and cable RF signals. When each station is tuned in, it will have a particular frequency alongwith a data stream. These data streams are of voltages, and these voltage will store in the memory of the memory IC insde and stored there, and the set will go tuned to the preceding station. This process will continue till all the on-air or cable stations have been stored in different memory locations of the memory IC, and at last the first tuned station will be displayed on the screen.
In your set, this memory IC is now faulty. Replaceing it will solve the problem of your set. This IC can be located very near to the main system control IC, and will have 8 solder terminals. It can be replaced. When replacing it note its number well. This number is very important and should replace it with same number. It is very cheap to buy, and can be bought from most or the electronic spare part shops at your town. OK.

I need memory ic code for SONY TRINITRON KV-PG21P40

There is no code for memory IC. It is an 8 terminal IC, in which will have a number printed on it; usually laser printed. Check that number and buy the exact same number. That number is most important. OK.

Long beep error on startup

try cleaning up the copper terminal of your memory card with a pencil eraser, do it carefully by avoiding contacts with the chips or I.C. carefully swipe the eraser on the copper terminal only and if your sure that it is already clean, carefully wipe the teminal with a soft cloth again avoiding contact with the chips. if the problem occurs again, buy a new memory card.

Air Conditioner for Benz 1998 E320

Check system for codes;

Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes (DTC Memory)
Air Conditioning (A/C)

Models 208 as of MY 1998

Diagnostic trouble Code Memory [15]

  • The A/C pushbutton control module (N22) has DTC memory and data output. The diagnostic trouble codes and data are displayed via the temperature display window. The stored DTC's will remain in memory even with the vehicle battery disconnected.
  • The DTC memory differentiates between current and intermittent faults.
  • Numerous DTC's can also be read with the Hand-Held Tester (HHT).

Preparations for DTC Readout

  1. Review 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 31, 31, 41
  2. Ignition: ON
  3. Temperature selector: left: "HI"; right: "LO"
  4. Ignition: OFF
  5. Ignition: ON
  6. Within 20 seconds press REST and EC simultaneously for more than 5 seconds.
  7. The LED in Recirculated Air flashes and the display shows "d1A".
  8. Press AUTO repeatedly until all DTC's are displayed. Record each DTC as it is displayed.
  9. Each fault (short circuit, open circuit) is assigned a DTC. Thus in the left display: "E1" appears, and the right display indicates the DTC. The current faults (refer to table) are displayed first, next, the intermittant failures (e.g. 45 °5) are displayed in the display window next to the FAN symbol. By pressing the right AUTO the next DTC is displayed.
  10. To erase: Can only be performed after all faults have been readout. Press left AUTO and right AUTO buttons simultaneously for more than 2 seconds and the display shows: left: "d" and right: "FF". To cancel erase: By pressing the left AUTO button, the current faults will appear again.
  11. Select a base temperature setting.
  12. Turn ignition OFF, to end test.
Note: Due to instrument cluster (IC) series interface, DTC's may be stored in IC memory, therefore readout and erase DTC's from IC memory.
